Courgette cake is def on the menu, just have to wait for some alone time so no-one knows what's in it lol.

It's only a bargain if you were going to buy it anyway!

Why? I assume from this post that the other members of your household won't be impressed?

Which also means that if you let them watch, you'll end up with all the cake. ;)
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

Alas I won't be taking part because I like to pick my courgettes small at four inches so they can be eaten raw in salads. But I've just picked two "mini" cucumbers which had been hiding underneath leaves which are as thick as my wrists, so I've had to relegate them to the compost heap as they weren't fit for eating.

  • The packet of seeds was labelled courgette- think it might have crossed the line into marrow. It was hiding in the courgette patch! We've just finished using it and then I found one almost as big...

Ok, this is my entry in the cauliflower section (yes, there is one, because it's my thread & I'm making one. :p )

It weighed about 2lb 10oz in the picture (i.e. with a few bits of leaf on). Mucky mug just for scale. :o
