can I submit my big aubergine please?

Yes you may. :) But I like to know a weight please, if you haven't munched it yet. :p
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

these are not huge, but they are quite pretty - all ripe, just different coloured varieties: (sorry, I have resized this pic several times and it still keeps reappearing as big!!!)

I'd like to know what sort the small brown ones are, and I think I'll have that nice stripey one at the back in my sandwiches tomorrow please. :D

Here is my entry for the tallest row of peas. They are on the right of the Runner Beans and almost as tall. The bean canes are 8ft with 7ft out of the ground and the tallest peas are about 6" below the top. The netting is to stop the sparrows from pecking the blossom off the beans.

You're not going to go short of peas or beans this year, are you? :T

Yes, the small brownish ones are Black Cherry. I've been growing a few of them myself for the first time this year. I was hoping that they might have had the same slightly smokey flavour that the bigger Black Russian had which I grew last year but unfortunately they don't, so comparing them with Gardeners Delight for flavour, with all other qualities being about equal, I think I'll stick to GD next year.
