Right, I can't leave it any longer, because it's a wee bit damaged and I don't want it to rot.
Just short of 1lb.
So, any challengers? If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
i'm sure its not that big - since you can just leave them on the plant to get bigger and bigger - but I picked this summer squash today. It weighed just under 850g and was about 18cm across. there's another of a similar size too. We got back from a week's holiday yesterday and when I went out today I couldn't believe how big they've gotten!
I've just put them in the oven, stuffed with sausage, onion, parsley, breadcrumbs and cheese. YUM!!!0 -

Well, I don't really like squash much, but I've not tried that one, and it looks beautiful. It appears completely unblemished. :TIf you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
We used to grow yard long cues, not boasting but a variety. Don't know if still available,I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Hmm can anyone tell that I haven't been to the courgette patch for a few days :eek:Sometimes not moving backwards is as much an achievement as moving forwards is on other times. (originally posted by kidcat)
It's only a bargain if you were going to buy it anyway!0 -
