Yes I agree, but changing your mind surely isnt part of Statutory Rghts..........

if it is, can i swap some of my beef for some lamb.......lol

    better add.....only joking!!!
Changing your mind isn't part of your SR, no. However, most retailers will exchange or refund as a gesture of goodwill.

As stated previously, you are still covered by your SR if the product is faulty, etc, etc.

  • Hello
I've been reading all of these posts with interest over the last couple of days, and did a "scout" in my local store yesterday. I couldn't find anything that had already been pointed out, maybe they are a bit more on the ball than other stores, but my local doesn't stock much in the way of games consoles either, so I'm gonna visit a bigger store tomorrow. Could you please clarify exactly what I would be looking for in relation to the Xbox r&r and GOTW? I think I'm looking for games to be in the wrong slot on the shelf, but how will I know if they're right/wrong?
Sorry if I'm asking something really obvious, but I don't want to make a twit of myself.
    Thanks

    Re your post be low

Personally I would start with the smaller items and build your confidence, please don't be under any impression that it really easy and painless, there are some customer service assistants and mangers who will treat you like a criminal and just won't give an r&r no what labels are displayed.

    just my opinion

Yes ....again...I totally agree...under normal circumstances...........but these people (Mr T)think we've "robbed them"....
  • Re visiting a bigger store tomorrow......ClassicMad

But would you exchange it if I had a receipt with a full R&R marked on it?

I am far more likely to do something for you if you come to me honestly rather than try to play me.
Who or what was I before you came in to my life
    I am not sure

One of the store I visited ealier today had a GOTW poster up for the DS, the picture was of Garfield the game but the blue bit of writing said Super mario DS

Also the Garfield game was in the GOTW slot

I would have tried it but they didnt have any Mario games in stock (I did ask)

The picture is to denote the number one game for that console apparently, so I was told today anyway.

I witnessed an event today that we talked about the other night....I was waiting in the queue at CS when the girl in front of me appeared to be retrieving a lost Credit Card.

The CS lady made her sign some form, then asked her if she had a Club Card....The lady gve her, her clubcard, and the CS lady said "I'll just get your details up on the screen"

I couldnt see what came up on the screen, but she printed off a slip of paper with the woman's name and full address on it and compared it to the address she had left on the form she filled in to get her Credit card back..........

I now know for certain that all your details(you have given them on your application) can all be "got at" through your Club Card....and by someone as far down the chain as Store CS Assistant.........Where's DPA

I'm surprised I got no response to this, I thought there would have been quite a reaction....as it was quite a "hot" topic the other night.......Please excuse me for reposting it.........

As stated previously, they've been known to allow an R&R exchange on a more expensive item than a games console. I think it depends a lot on the individual customer's attitude, as well as the attitude of the CSA at the time. You've got less of a chance if you lie to them, though. If you're up front and honest, they are more likely to do it. After all, it's no skin off their noses. They don't make a loss out of an exchange, as they get the item back in stock.
