  • I don't usualy advocate giving up but then I wouldn't touch Orange either. Thing is though you can get a new battery off ebay for a fiver or so, surely worth it to lose the hassle?

  • I can't get a new battery for my phone as it's a nokia 7380 and the battery in enclosed. Plus it may not be the battery as I think it's the battery connection which is something I wouldn't be able to fix anyway.
  • as mentioned get it to a nokia service centre. There used to be one local to where I lived, I took many a phone to them for repair (most not mine) as long as its in warantee and not water damaged they repair free of charge and if you have signed up to club nokia and have a card to show them they will loan you a phone while yours is being fixed :)

10 months into contract. When I finally got through yesterday the lady told me to switch off remove card etc. I onformed her I had already tried all that, a master reset and updated phone software from sony website. 32MB of free phone memory yet the phone thinks my inbox etc are full when they are empty.

Said she would forward to 'technical dept' and get back to me. Have heard nothing.

They are about to lose a customer and quite a few potential new customers as I will advise friends and family not to go with them.
