Ok, confession time........ordered 3 pairs of new shoes in the Clarks sale. Won't be here for a while and are going to collect from store meaning I can try them on first and then decide. They are a much needed pair of black knee high boots with a nice heel. I've been looking for a pair for ages and they were reduced from £99.99 to £39.99. As my calves are now 2" thinner than this time last year I'm hoping they fit. The next pair are a pair of grey leather ankle boots to wear with my grey jeans, jumper dress and grey skirt and denim jeans, these are £29.99 reduced from £59.99. The last pair are a pair of cowboy like boots (more toned down version). The ones I have now are 2 years old and synthetic material. They have not lasted or aged well at all. So I've gone for a brown dark suede pair again reduced to £37.99 from £74.99. I decided to go for all leather or suede pairs as my synthetic boots have not lasted well at all. So in total cost was £107 if all pairs fit properly, They might not and the total may end up less in the end.

Still thinking about the pair of shoe boots to go with my new dress

What else.... made 8 portions of mushroom soup from my 10p reduced 2 boxes of mushrooms, made a spiced loaf and not much else really. Looks like tomorrow will be a busy day now with a lot of cleaning, unless I get up and make a start tonight!

I have just come back from the best 6 mile run I have ever done. So pleased I went and all the interval training has paid off. So glad I went out! First time I've done any exercise on Christmas Eve too!

So far today I have done a load of washing, cleaning and wrapping of presents, made another batch of soup for Boxing Day and cooked the gammon in cola. All that's left to do is finish off the last of the hampers and make a batch of fudge and attempt puddini - when I've recovered!

    NSD 9/15 today!

    Merry Christmas!

  • "Try ... Run a half marathon (One new thing you want to try)"

It's time to be fearless and put the fear to one side. I had a good think about this on my 6 mile run tonight. I've wanted to do this for the last year and if I can run 6miles, I can get to 13.2 miles. If I can get from 0 miles to 6 miles then I can do this! It's only how I think about it that stops me. So after a long think while out running I came to the conclusion its just me stopping me from doing it.

So the decision is made and off I go to sign up for the first half marathon I plan to run! I can't wait, I enjoyed tonights run so much it reminded me about why I run. Because I enjoy it!

Nice relaxing day yesterday. The HM hampers went down very well indeed especially the bath salts. These were the ones I was a little concerned about how they had turned out. However they went down very well as did the skincare hampers. Will make a note of these and maybe redo next year.

What else? Had a nice long walk of an hour and a half plus 40mins. Also didn't go mad over eating. Went over the kcal allowance of course but not too bad I think.

Other good news a NSD 10/15 and aiming for another one today!

Todays plan is a nice long walk with family and dogs then another nice relaxing day with plenty of leftovers!

  • I got zumba fitness for the wii for Christmas but have presently eaten too much to even contemplate jiggling around :o

I am hoping to be motivated by your dedication to exercise and weight loss (probably as my new years resolution :D)
    Just keep swimming!

    Hello,

lovely to hear you enjoyed yourself, the hampers were a success & that you didn't over indulge. I've felt a bit icky today as I consumed all manner of things I rarely eat.
A very happy new year to you
    xx

And a very happy New Year to you to my dear! I'm expecting 2012 to be one of the happiest years I've had in quite a few and it feels good to start the year feeling this way compared to how I've felt for the last few. Feels like a new chapter is beginning. Must be my much more positive mood these days helping me change how I think.

Well I dragged myself out for a sharpish 30min sprinty run as the shorter run today. Pretty hard work however really pleased I did it and its the start of my new exercise plan

    January Weekly Run Plan
    short run - 20-30min sprintish
medium run - 45min normal run speed
long run - 50mins to increase upwards
Also build in one more run in the week too

Let's see how I get on!

Another NSD today which is cheering as I stay away from the shops - 12/15

Now I'm off to sign up for 2012's clothes challenge again to help me keep on track again. This year's went very well indeed and I stayed well on track for the first time! Yipee!

PS - I too got Zumba for the wii. Gave it a go last night, not that impressed with it really. I'll give it another go and see if I get on with it any better

Hmmm to zumba, DD wants it, but the reviews I've read aren't that great. I reckon a half hour with Just Dance is as good - makes me puff & glow anyway :D

You sound so bubbly & positive, you can achieve just about anything in 2012 :D

    Wednesday already?!

    Plan for today
Clean bathroom, sweep and mop the floors if it dries up outside
    WM
    Make fudge
    Start writing assignment

Keeping the plan small today to make sure I start the final one on the list! Let's see how I get on. Looks like it will be another NSD here too as not planning on going to the shops
