A wonderful day out today on the tops ankle deep in snow. Was a glorious day, the sleety clouds moved to reveal a bright blue sky and sparkling snow. It was a mid length walk, loved it today! Took lots of photos to preserve the memories as it was so glorious out there and a fun day frollicking in the snow. Really looking forward to the next one as I am training to improve my walking distances programme and keep the running programme going too and maybe, if I get it for Crimbo, Zumba on the Wii to try and trim my waist down along with the rest of me now!

Only spent £2.40 on 2 cups of tea so a very MSE day too and the banana and walnut cake went down very well and was not burnt to a crisp at all!

Have burnt off 2000kcals today however all are replaced with a big pile of stew and dumplings for tea to recover and a lot of moisturiser to recover from the harsh biting winter chill up there

Thanks missus :D Nice to see you back on here again too :D

I'm so pleased at being at this point and aiming for another 3lb loss too - don't think this will be until the end of Jan and try and STS over Crimbo! Weigh in day is this Friday - if I stay the same I'll be pleased due to the over eating last week and this weekend. Will aim to get back out running again this week now the horrible cold has gone and get back on track again

Next year's plans are still in development...............

Back at work today and throat and chest still feel quite sore and I'm still quite phelgmy and snotty. So no run tonight as just did not feel right today. Will reassess tomorrow and hopefully go out for a run after work and get back into the swing of the exercise thing!

Not much else to report apart from another NSD - have totally lost count for this month but think I might be on a quite disappointing 7/15 now - 8 left to get on only a few days left in the month

  • Shoe browsing this evening to try and find a suitable pair to go with my new dress

    Debs - no good
Mataspan - not too bad price wise, only a couple of pairs suitable
    M+S - 4 pairs suitable - 3 x £29.50 and 1 x £55

Looks like will be a pair from M+S then -very nice so hope in real life they are

New pair of tights - £7.5 -£9 in M+S better check out Mr T then to see if there are any suitable in there. However Mr M+S pair did last a long time and were very good quality so they may be worth the price. Funny how a pair of tights costs the same as a dress!

However, I am trying to put a new outfit together a a low cost with a few things that will go with other items and will come in at a better price per wear and won't be worn once then never again. I stuck to my plan with the work Christmas Party outfit and didn't buy anything new apart from a £1 nail varnish.

I will check I don't have any suitable shoes first, I don't think I have but I might so better check first before spending the money on a new pair. I'll think it all over first and then decide what I need.

    Then my new outfit will be;
    1) the first one I have bought for 2yrs
    2) ready to go for when I have handed in the 2nd assignment at then end of Jan and have a well deserved night out!

2 onto the list. Still thinking the others over

Well, I had some pretty marvellous news this morning that really cheered me up. Felt pretty run down and hungry all day at work and talked myself out of a run. Came home and saw others out running and talked myself back into it. Really pleased I went, quite hard work at first after 10 days off with cold but the way back was brill. Might even go again tomorrow!

    A NSD today too 8/15

5/7 on the list now, 2 more to go

Well, gone well over the kcal allowance for today with several chocolate frogs. Oh well, nevermind I did go for a run afterwork to try and make amends. And it was surprisingly enjoyable too!

Diet out of the window today, hey a couple of weeks of for Crimbo aren't too bad after all the hard work for this year. Plus come January, the hard work begins again with no pennies and cheap low kcal meals and the hope that the last few lbs drop off.

I'm planning to keep the running going over Christmas. In fact a run planned for tomorrow, maybe Sat too and then some more next week with probably Sun and Mon off. But some long dog walks on those days too

Pleased today, all the shopping is done and finished. Meaning I can stay out of the shops for the next few days and get some NSD in too. I used all the savings stamps and points too leaving a £1 voucher I forgot about.

Have plenty in and plenty to keep my going over the next few weeks, decided against going bonkers on biscuits and crackers and didn't buy any. My treats will be cheese with HM bread, HM mince pies and HM Christmas cake. And plenty of pampering for me and my skin too next week to try and get it back in some kind of order

Busy next week with usual cooking and plenty of exercise and assignment writing too! I've done plenty of reading and am almost ready to start writing. Lets hope I am really!

  • Went for a run before work this morning - quite hard going really but really glad I went.

Weigh in day STS which is also pretty good considering how much chocolate I've eaten this week so that's a big phew!

Car filled up for Crimbo with liquid gold - hoping that lasts for a couple of weeks or only a little top up. Just waiting to finish work now in a couple of hours and then off home to zoom around cleaning the house and sorting out wrapping up some presents!
