Night out update: I did get called tiny and slim by quite a few people and I didn't sparkle enough with jewellry compared to others there. Anyway I drove there and back and did not drink at all and had a very good laugh all night and a very enjoyable night out indeed! And a ever so slightly hammered friend of mine told me ' you look so tiny now....and....your skin, you don't even have one wrinkle!' Now that made me laugh after she got over the fact I wasn't drinking! Much fun and racous laughing as I told friends how I reacted to reaching my target weight!

Some more good news today - went shopping with mum and called into Matal*n and tried on a size 10 dress which was bright orange/red layered shift style with short sleeves and a round neck. So surprised a size 10 fitted, ok not a huge amount of room in there but hey it fitted!

So I bought it, half price partywear offer for £11 - couldn't not do it. It will look great with black tights, footless tights, leggings or tighter jeggings. Might also look good in the summer too with bare legs and some nice shoes - flats or pumps. For now though it will look good with some funky black footwear and I'd better have a look for some. There are so many offers out there too in the shops 30% off here and 20% off there etc.

I haven't fit into a size 10 since 1997 when I was 24 so this a great surprise to fit into that size again now I'm 38!

P.S. - decided to try and get a little lower on the weight scale and try and get rid of a bit more of the tummy area which is still more prominent than anywhere else. Another 3lb to go after a couple of days off this weekend (Fri and Sat) then back on track again next week.

Busy day tomorrow too - lots to do and lots to study - eek

  • Hi Fedup.

Well done with the weight loss. Its wonderful to set a goal and actually achieve it. I know from my own experiences that when I feel good about myself, I am just soo much more positive about every aspect of my life. I have been following your diary and am really impressed with how focussed you are with loads of areas of your life. Go girl......

Well so far I woke up feeling grotty with a sore swollen throat and headache. Walked up into town to get some fresh air and try and blow it away but that hasn't worked. Happily though I finished my Christmas shopping today and all I need to do now is start some of the present making and write a food shopping list to get next weekend. Looking forward to not dashing around the shops the next 2 weekends.

Happily bought the Radio Times to browse over the next week and a dessert for Christmas and a bottle of fizz, leaving the stuffing and sauces to sort out next week.

Made some soup for lunch and to portion up for next week and also did the ironing and usual WM loads etc. Not up to too much really this afternoon - no running today while I feel like this. So planning a quick whizz around with the hoover, start the bath salts and then do some reading after a long dog walk. Really don't feel like cooking today and can't be bothered to cook a fish pie as planned so having an easier fling in the oven tea of rainbow trout, jacket potato and veg instead.

Made 2 lots of fizzy bath salts which are currently drying out before going into the present jars. Took the dog out for our usual longer weekend walk while still feeling grotty. Early night required i think and see how i feel in the morning.
Walked for over 3hrs today - gentle walks though, not up to stomping today!

  • Bleurrgh - full of cold AGAIN - rubbish plus sore throat and cough. So all running is off until it goes. Oh well, let's hope its soon! Enough dwelling on this and better crack on after today to catch back up a bit.

Trying to get an hour's walking in a day to keep some exercise going while feeling grotty. Don't think there will be much weight loss going on over this week! Not to worry, done good to get here and only 3lbs to go and at the next target weight.

    Plan for the week ahead
Mon - rest and try and fight cold off
Tues - dog walk, bath, tea, one room clean, one paper to read
Wed - dog walk, bath, tea, one room to clean, one paper to read
Thurs - dog walk, bath, tea, one room to clean, one paper to read
Fri - dog walk, bath, tea, one room to clean, one paper to read at home, write cards LAST POST DATE TOMORROW
Sat - dog walk, run if better, long dog walk, post cards and shopping, 2 papers to read at home, soup making, loaf baking, take tomorrow's tea out
Sun - dog walk, run if better, long dog walk, ironing, sort out tea, soup making, start writing for assignment 1 and read 1 paper - oh yes, put tree up!

Absolutely made up with a grotty cold and one that 4 layers and cold tablets didn't make me feel any better. Came home from work early today and think I'll be off tomorrow to get some rest and get the germs blown off on the dog walks and hopefully back to normal after that.

Did have a nice lavender oil bath but not too nice watching a spider trying to crawl up the taps and not into the bath - not quite a relaxing as I planned it to be.

Half read a paper at work this morning, no cleaning as don't feel up to it, might feel better tomorrow to do a little. Think I'll write some Christmas cards before I go to bed and that's another easy job to tick off from the weekend

Well I'm still full of snot and phelgm and feeling pretty grotty. Decided to go to the supermarket today as I felt a bit better then to do most of the Christmas shop to use up my survey vouchers. I stuck almost perfectly to my list of stocks, things I really need and things for Christmas dinner. Splashed out on a bottle of rapeseed vegetable oil on offer to go into the stocks cupboard. Its so thick and golden yellow it makes me smile when I use it! Wow, exciting eh? Good news though I only went over by 27p which I had to put towards the total cost.

Still have some savings stamps and nectar points to use up and only have a bit of veg and milk to buy next week which I'll get while I'm at work next week. Glad most of this is done as I really don't fancy scrapping around the shops next weekend for everything then.

Did some reading yesterday to catch up a bit on the plan and I'll do some more today ready to start writing a bit tomorrow afternoon.

Have pottered about a bit this week getting some easy jobs done while I was off so here's my list of things left to do

Fri - dog walk, bath, tea, one room to clean, one paper to read at home, start gravy to freeze, put red cabbage onto braise
Sat - dog walk and longer dog walk, 2 papers to read at home, cook stew for Sunday, bake cake and start writing for assignment 1 - oh yes, put tree up!
    Sun - rest day :D

Ever had one of those days were almot everything you touch, goes slightly wrong? Today was one of those days for me!

Banana loaf cake - almost burnt to a crisp
    Turkish Delight - didn't set
Festive Bread totally went wrong the first time, tried again and only slightly better the 2nd time. Hmm....

At least the red cabbage went ok and is now in the freezer - out of one red cabbage I got 4 jars of pickled red cabbage and about 7 portions of braised red cabbage - good going!

Stew for tomorrow is currently cooking and hopefully that's not burning! Leaving the other Christmas preps for a couple of evenings next week now.

Moved loads of stuff into the cellar for storage and freed up a small amount of space upstairs. Still deciding whether to put up any decs or not this year and put up a small tree on the fireplace, a garland and my festive candle burner. I might leave it at that. Will see how I feel when I finish work on Friday

Tonight is reading 2 papers for the assignment while watching strictly final then hopefully a day out in the winter fresh air tomorrow to blow away these germs!
