The pictures are now up in the kitchen after an hour trying to get them all level - more or less are now and the kitchen is cleaned and ready to go and tidied.
All is done apart from a quick hoover tomorrow and a spot of ironing
Preserving and shopping lists all done now and saw some pretty good jars today in W*lk*s which might get around payday in the middle to large sizes
Sadly have now lit my last y*nkee candle which is a minty Christmas one but as its the last one I have and I like a candle on at the weekend I decided to light it now and it doesn't smell Christmassy - more minty. Might have a little look out for some more large jars if I can get a couple cheap enoughfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Nice and lazy start to the day
Planning tonights tea and trying out a strawberry crumble with cream for a change - so off to find some more cheap strawberries in a bit and pick up some salad stuff too.
Tonight will be Thai steamed salmon with veg and strawberry crumble for dessert. See if I can come in around the calorie limit or at least close to it!final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Strawbugs bought and were double the price they were on Thursday so good job I bought 5 packs then for half the price than today! Just trying to rouse myself to do the ironing and a quick hoover around the place then all ready to go for the rest of the dayfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550

Ironing all done and dusted this morning, windows washed inside, hoovered around downstairs then facial time for me of cleanse, tone, exfoliate and mask time then nails painted for the week ahead
Tea was gorgeous and that crumble was too! I'm making it again for my brother's birthday lunch next weekend alongside the slow roast pork shoulder. Nice to have a puddding for a change that wasn't a fudge or a diet yoghurt!
Day off tomorrow with a day out with mum which should be great even though it looks pretty showery - looking forward to it.final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Nice day with mum today visiting a medieval old country house which you could feel the history in the well preserved rooms. Lovely gardens which looked like they had been battered by the rain over the last few days and it was very showery while out and about. Visited the local country market and picked up some great bargains which I want for jam making and jelly making (plums, greengages and redcurrants).
Off I go then to turn some greengages into delicious jam!final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Well after a few tumultous days with the lappy I'm hoping all is back to normal now
Did make 5 jars of greengage jam which was pretty easy to make. The redcurrant jelly was not too successful and ended up with half a jar which will probably end up in gravy and stews. Off tomorrow afternoon and planning to make plum jam if the plums are still ok.
Gave a jar of chilli jam to a pal at work who loved it and asked for the recipe after I told her how easy it was
Otherwise now much else to report this week. Bought some things to go into the christmas hampers - garden stuff in the sale and saved £13 and spent £11.
Bagged a couple of NSD to take me up to 9 and have just about made it with the GC if I'm good this weekend. I'm aiming for 3 and want at least 2. Really don't need any more food - all stocked up and ready to go.
Back to report tomorrow how the jam making goes and to estimate the price per jarfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
700g of plums turned into 3 jars of sweet sticky jam. think I'd better aim for 1.5kg next time with a variation of maybe adding some walnuts in as per the recipe - not too sure how this would be.
Anyway, while the jam jammed I cleaned the bathroom and am just deciding what to do - shall I take Mr Dog for a walk, clean another room, have a walk up for some rhubarb? (NSD already gone to pot today as bought shapers sushi for lunch for a treat)
Looks very grey overhead atm - better bring the washing in. By the way I completely forgot how entertaining TMS was on 5 live sports extra - amusing!final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Walked up to Mr S this time to get some reduced rhubarb to make the last of the rhubarb relish for this year, also some solar lights for the garden with 70% off at £7.49 instead of £24.99 (pleased and want another set now!) then called in at Mr H for some half price seeds to go into the garden hamper for mum.
Had a think about what I could put it all in - decided on a nice garden basket/trug thing
Also found a patio apple tree in Mr H for half price which I will get next week if they have any left and pot it up ready for a christmas present to go alongside the hamper trug set. Also a nice soap and good handcream to go in too. Sounds nice, would love someone to make one up for me too!
Costs coming in nicely too
So far
Price garden accessories £11 (rrp £26) (saved £15)
Price seeds £2.24 (rrp £4.48) (saved £2.24)
Price apple tree £ (rrp £ ) (saved £ )
Price pot £?
Price trug £?
Price Handcream and soap £?
Well that's one present well on the way to being completed. Also food gifts are starting with the preserving and jam making going on now. Will do some edible gifts much later on of biscotti and fudge. Also will make up a cupcake making set again and have bought some bits to go towards this. Have a jar, buncases, chocolate chips etc.
Brother has one gift which I bought in the sale in Jan and need to have a think what else to get. Some skincare when I decide which brand has a good enough set. Also some food gifts of fudge etc. Then still need to think about another part - not much idea yet but plenty of time!
Also went way over the calorie allowance for today and for some reason I'm not overly bothered so its a good job I walked for a while today up to the shop and back! Back on track tomorrow and will go for a run too as feel better now and can't really put it off any longer!final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Plan for today - have some washing out blowing on the line, nipped to town to rifle through Wilko's sale - nothing exciting in but did succumb to some lovely bright bathroom items to replace my faded and knackered ones
Plan for today is
Clean bedroom
Finish off todays washing pile
Start mint syrup
Maybe make rhubarb relish
Clean LR if time
Take dog on a nice long walk
Gardening maybe or tomorrow definitely!final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
