Hi Fedup, sorry I haven't been on, how did the Half Marathon go?

Sadly I couldn't do it as was laid up with a very nasty virus after an ear infection. Was sad but it was the best decision not to do it as I was really knocked out again by the virus last week

Onto other matters of life now.

Walked into town and collected the last 2 summer skirts. One for work and one for leisure. Work one is classic length and second one is maxi length. Came home and tried them on. Trepidation turned into disbelief. They both fitted absolutely fine. 2 x size 8 skirts fitted into for the first time. Ok, they had elasticated waist bands and I think they are generously cut. This time last year I was squeezing into a size 14 and now some size 10's are too big and have fitted into an 8. Weird and bizarre more than amazing. Feels unbelievable more than anything else and a little like a weird secret that isn't true

Especially as for the last 3 or 4mths I haven't been attempting to lose weight and have been maintaining. Must have been all that half marathon training that has paid off with an unexpected present for me after I was too unwell to run it in the end :rotfl:

Anyway, that's made my mind up to carry on with the stepper training when I feel completely back to normal, hopefully by the end of the week and then back to the running and aim to tick over by about 10miles for a little while and then build up later to a longer distance - around 15miles

Still can't get over the fact a size 8 skirt fits me perfectly.

Weird, weird and more so. Bemusement, amazement and a slight feeling of wonderment along with a smile about it all really

Anyway back to work tomorrow so have planned to do some longer dog walks after work while the weather looks better for the week ahead and then if I continue to feel better which I should I might have a go on the stepper at the end of the week and also try and fit in some much needed assignment wok before the deadline approaches rapidly.

Back at work today so back onto the hampster wheel that is life for now.

Took the dog for a very nice walk around the nature reserve after work and the sun had decided to pay a very welcome visit. Zoomed around in an hour briskly knocking 10mins of the previous time - a few more kcals burnt off!

Think we'll go again tomorrow after work to get out in the sun and warmth

Sorted out some assignment stuff today, don't think I'll have much time tomorrow to get much done on it. Although am about to attempt to read a short paper tonight to make some amends!

Much better today. Practically feel normal again. Which is nice.

Todays exercise was 20mins on the stepper which went well after the break. Enjoyed it. Not much else to report apart really. Bit of reading for assignment done today, nice walk with the dog in the heat after work and planning the same for tomorrow.

Stepper completed again for 20mins. Going well and belly is hopefully toning up and away. Planning a run on Friday to get back out again and feel ok out there.

Not much else to report, read a couple of papers for the assignment and a day at work. Busy day tomorrow at work and then off on Friday - looking forward to that!

Freed up a new skirt to wear at work today which was nice and comfortable in the warmth.

Another £2 in the change today to go into the £2 pot - think is at £60 so far

Grrr.. weigh in yesterday and have gained 1kg over last 4 weeks. Rubbish, must have been the lack of exercise that caused this I think. Bit strange though as all clothes fit fine and I lost half an inch last week too, plus fitting into a size smaller skirt. Weird?

Anyway today's plan is to go for a run before it gets burning hot and see how I get on after a long break, then some supermarket shopping and back to some cleaning and see if I can get some free insulation. Then its off out with Mr Dog for a nice long walk later on and some more tidying up

Pretty busy day off today then!

Well I'm back after the first run for 4 weeks.

Went well in a really good time of 36mins which is a quick time for me, funny as I spent quite a while thinking it was very hard going this morning!

Glad I didn't leave it any later as it got really hot out there on the way back. Planning to go for another run on Sunday morning first thing before it warms up too much.

Happily I did qualify for the free insulation - whoopee doo! Being fitted in about 3 weeks time and then its all done ready for winter and really hoping I notice a difference.

Next thing that needs doing is insulating the celler roof and that's a job for June or July. I'll get the stuff to do it bought then once the assignment is done I'll get it done so probably be July then that's nearly everything for insulating.

Might get another set of radflex for upstairs as the ones that are on are too narrow then thats everything done.

Long target is saving for a new door and will be trying hard to save up for this over the next few months and hopefully get a nice new one to keep the heat in by autumn or early winter time

Washing all done and ironing done, time for a nice long walk with the dog next I think

A very pleasant day indeed today

A run first thing for 36mins
    Survey done and completed
Ironing all done and put away
Bedding changed and washed and dried on the line
    LR and BR cleaned
Hoovered and emptied hoover and bins
Walked up to supermarket to collect ginormous box of washing powder on offer plus some ice lollies
Long dog walk around the beautiful nature reserve sparkling away in the sunlight
Wore shorts out in public for the first time in about 10yrs - go me eh!

Tomorrow is clean kitchen and bathroom, some more washing, walk up to town and back, maybe go for a run, long dog walk in the afternoon and sweep and mop the floors, bake a loaf in BM and also some pizza dough for tea

Very nice to have done some of the cleaning today instead of the usual mad dash over the weekend

Up and about early this morning and took Mr dog out for his walk in the early morning sun and shade.

Walked up to town to get some lighter pjs as I'm boiling at the moment and went for a size smaller primarni set for £8. Walked back too in the lovely sun and under the bright blue sky.

Bought some strawberries, meringue nests and reduced fat creme fraiche for a nice relatively low kcal dessert to try tonight.

Next job will be cleaning the kitchen and mopping the floors before a load of cleaning cloth wash goes on and I relax for a while listening to TMS in the warmth.

Then will take Mr dog out for a long walk around the nature reserve and come back to make some pizza dough and have pizza and salad for tea. Also found a recipe to try out tomorrow to use up chicken drumsticks in the freezer and have with salad and maybe a couple of new potatoes.

Thought about going for a run today but my legs are aching a bit after yesterday so will have a go on the stepper later and then go for run in the morning tomorrow
