Exceptionally high data usage

There is a fair usage policy of 200mb a month apparently. My partner has an iPhone 3G on O2 and he called to find out the data allowances and he managed to get it out of them what their fair usage was. They've been very lenient in the past, perhaps now they're cracking down on those who use data to an extreme? 90 minutes of streaming twice a day every day is a hell of a lot though, thank goodness you don't have a hard cap, lol.Have I helped? Feel free to click the 'Thanks' button. I like to feel useful (and smug).0

This is kind of my point. Is it a lot? I feel like a criminal from the text they sent me, my crime is to listen to radio to and from work. If I'm able to affect other users by listening to Chris Moyles, why offer me an unlimited data contract and then shout at me when I use it?
Regardless all that is just moaning. I am more interested in my legal stance if they do break my tariff early. In the small print there is an "excessive usage" policy, but it is not quantified anywhere.
Additionally I understand unlimited tariffs are coming to an end. Will this be the end of me listening to digital radio on my bike?
I think most mobile companies will end up with a hard cap of around 500mb looking at what they seem to be saying at the moment. Is there an app you can get that monitors your web usage? I've got one for my Android phone. If there is, you should be able to see exactly what the usage is on your trip to work.0 -

Errr........yeah. I'm using 2.5 GB a month....I guess that's a lot?
Oooops! My Android phone has a 3gb monthly allowance. Nearest I've seen to that is 1gb. I'm not trying to get one over on you iPhone users, but my Desire has a 3gb allowance AND a built in FM radio which would be ideal for you either way. Has the iPhone 4 got a radio?0 -

If you listen to Radio 1 you may be best getting yourself an FM radio. Some don't have great reception portable, and typically the ones in phones really aren't great.
EDIT: Just read you like to listen to none FM stations, so ergh... forget that.
A 90 minute cycle - good work. Is that on a road bike? Don't think I'd be too keen on cycling with earphones in myself. I used to cycle to and from work and I'd catch the school run in the morning, as I had to cycle past a school. That would terrify me with doors swinging open, cars pulling out without looking etc.
2.5GB is quite a lot, but would be acceptable use on T-Mobile with Android (and WM) smartphones. It should also be acceptable on GiffGaff which is o2's 3G network, which seems to work well for you. Was it April 2009 or 2010 that you signed up? o2 will unlock for free too at the end of the contract. I'm guessing though GiffGaff may be a very good bet for you, it's cheap too.0 -
