  • Fair play to you fella, wish I had noticed your tips when they happened as always like to watch tips with some reasoning behind them.

138p to buy is a little too steep for for me, but I've added them to my monitor and will look for a another dip, but they look strong.
  • Cheers chaps!

They're going to go a lot higher I think. Shares magazine should be coming out with their article this Saturday in which they give cct as one of their naps for 2007. I think thats probably behind the rise today, & I think it'll be 150+ by the end of next week.

I seriously think they'll end up wel North of £2-00, possibly even heading to 270 or above if they get people interested in them again - they had a bad time a few years ago & the share price plummetted & a lot of people lost a lot of money, so people tend to shy away from them. The gains so far are without any newspaper coverage or any real tips, so once private investors catch up with whats happening & start buying they should rocket.

They've had institutional interest now & recently sold some treasury shares to that institution, so the institutions are also sitting up & taking note, momentum is building nicely, & with a shortage of shares since they started their buy backs that too should give it a really good shove upwards, all in my very humble opinion of course.

Have a look on the ADVFN bulletin board under cct for some great reasoning & analysis, I'm studhaves on there.

So at 140, my 15,100 shares is now worth £21,140 against my 0% cashback of £10K or 111% so far

    :)Happy Days:)
  • Well done TTMCMschine.
I received my MBNA card this morning with a £10k+ limit.
I spoke to a very nice man who lowered the handling charge to £100 (instead of £200). I transferred £10k to my bank, and will then transfer that to my flexi mortgage for a year. So hopefully it will be a nice little earner.
Minimum payment of only £5 a month to boot. :)
  • Good Luck *slj :)

Character have had a really good write up & tip this weekend from Small Company Share Watch, in which they are named as one of the 2 naps for 2007. This should result in the share price leaping ahead on Monday, the last time they mentioned Character the shares shot up by 10p!

Interesting to see what happens, :)Happy Days:)
  • Quick update:

Well, it shot up as expected this morning to 149, thats 15,100 * 149 = £22,499 from the original £10K taken from the MBNA 0% offer. Thats 124.9% profit.

    :)Happy Days :)

PS I sold £125 of my spreadbet that I put on on Friday to bank an £850 profit. I expect the share price will fall back a little & I'll buy it back then.
  • It's most strange. Every time I look at this thread, the words 'pride' and 'fall' seem to float up in front of me ...

Don't get me wrong - I enjoy seeing other succeed in their endeavours, even more so when it conducted with humility and a dash of self-depracation - but this voluntary diary of speculative success does tend to jar somewhat and seems a bit out of place on this particular board !
  • "the words 'pride' and 'fall' seem to float up in front of me"

Thats just what the wife said, but she'd be wrong too.

I thought people might be interested, I did say right at the beginning that I might lose & it was an opportunity for a bit of "car crash TV" type stuff. I can't help it that it's going so well, I think it would be rude not to carry on with the updates ;O
  • I can't help it that it's going so well, I think it would be rude not to carry on with the updates ;O

Agreed - last thing we need is anybody being rude. I had therefore better take this opportunity to apologize for being so selfish and not sharing my extra-curricular financial dealings with the wider world !
  • Feel free, I don't mind. It is after all a board where people are telling everyone how they're making money from 0% CC offers, so I thought I'd do the same - just because I've chosen a different method & made a lot more money shouldn't matter, maybe it might give someone else different ideas.

The problem seems to be that I'm doing rather well, & to be honest it just sounds like sour grapes to me. No doubt if I was losing money you'd be happy & would be giving me *hugs* to show me how grateful you were that my failure made you feel better about yourself.
