My DD has not left the house since getting ready this morning yet she looks like a cross between a deranged banshee and a street urchin! Her hair is a scarey mess and she is filthy! I'm assuming its muck from the pea pods she's been eating that smeared all round her face. God help me if anyone from Social services came knocking at the door...DH is in bed, DD looks like she hasn't see water for a week (I swear she was bathed yesterday!) and I'm in my pj's still, DS1 is out impersonating DS2 and DS2...well I'm not sure who's get thrown in the nuthouse first - me or him!

Just a little insight into the world that is my family :rotfl:

Sounds just like my family:eek::eek: I much prefer to see a child pleasantly grubby than clean and pristine. It shows that they are exploring their environment! I see from your previous post that you are celebrating 18th birthdays tomorrow. I hope your son is well enough.

Well it was DD 18th birthday today. I am very proud of her and feel that she is growing into a lovely and rounded adult. She has overcome so many hurdles and has grown in confidence so much since she started college. We all went out for lunch and she is off out tonight with her friends and is having a BBQ and sleepover on Friday. Im shattered now as its the first time i have been out like that since before christmas, Quite a feat for me and I felt more human so lets hope it will continue.

    Anyway hugs xx
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

    Hello everybody!

Happy birthday to Ms Molly and JC's twins to-morrow.

Flutterby....best of luck to-morrow....just being the best 'you' you can be will be enough!

Been fine here apart from the few heavy showers, house is a madhouse as DGDs 1 &3 are very active little girls, have gone to visit DGS3 and family so having a little break....OH gone to bed.

Dinner to-day was cottage pie which was very nice with the lovely potatoes we got yesterday....7.5 kg for just €3.99 I thought was very good price especially as they are lovely floury potatoes, think that our own could do with a little longer in the ground, am managing to have a courgette or two every day, they are being incorporated into dinner whatever it is. Had some nice cabbage to-day too, quartered and steamed was very nice indeed.

JackieG....hope that you are feeling better soon.

Julie...have you been reading my mind?? I have put on almost 3 stones since giving up smoking over 8 years ago and seem to have lost the will to do anything serious about it, used to walk for an hour and that kept things on the straight and narrow, seem to have no energy now so find it difficult to keep the cooking, washing etc up to date, never mind anything extra....am now scared that advancing age is making things more difficult and losing all hope of ever feeling 'normal' again.

Hugs to all in need or want of one, and to those who are missing in action....please come back soon!

Hello everyone, hope you're all as well as can be. Not much in the way of OS for me today, but I'm going to count it as an overall success. Downsides being this banging headache I've had all day that has gradually got worse, and the old "Aunt Irma visiting". However upsides being the landlady and flatmate have made up, and I don't think such a kerfuffle will happen again, I succeeded at a difficult and fiddly bit of work on what was pretty much my first ever attempt, and found a penny on the way home.

I'm just debating keeping up with this not keeping anything treat-y in the house, as no matter how much I want some cake/biscuits/chocolate I can't have any ...Nahhh! Getting comfy with my namesake, some telly and my beloved internets now, enjoy your evenings.

Happy Birthday from me too, to MissMolly! :D Hope she has a happy year!

Well, the chicken chasing has done me some good. :D I have lost ten pounds since my last weigh in according to my WiiFit, so that's 17lbs in total in six weeks Yay me! Unfortunately I have a wee way to go, but its a great start, I am feeling things loose already that had been beginning to strain at the seams, so that's great. I was a right grump beforehand, too, so its put a smile on my dour face! And half my new dining furniture arrived today, the table is coming Friday! :D:D:D
