    Last time I looked, I thought RBS has a balance sheet of £2tn in assets. I think the government loan was approx £80-90bn to RBS.

    Re-read my post and you answer is there. The £2tn is in assets not cash. That is the reason for the divestments and disposals to raise capital for the running of the retail banks.

    Hence the reason for the bail-out and APS.

    As for the part about drivel it's actually part of contractual law so I suppose it is a bit like drivel to you but it's the best type the type that gets you out of paying your debts back

    May I make a suggestion then? Why not read the forum rules about behaviour towards other users, seeing as you like to post about contract law, something you will have agreed to when you set up an account on this forum? When you stop posting up insults, you will stop getting people calling you a troll and your posts spam. ;)
