Careful you don't get lost in the Libary Danny
Sometimes I go in to have a quick look and can't find my way out for an hour or two! Have a look while you're there to see if they have any of Martin's books which are full of great ideas.
I can see you getting tempted to buy a few books while on Amazan
Try to resist!
The crabapples and blackberries won't be ready for a while - I think - although I have seen the odd blackberry here. Apparently crabapples are ready when their pips are brown
Hope you feel more vitalised today

Hey Danny!
Just read your whole thread you and your 'missus' and me and my man are in very similiar positions right now and have similiar goals too... its spooky!
Anyway, I wish you lots of luck with your goals... I am sure you will achieve them!
My suggestion to help is Dooyoo. Its a review site that you earn Dooyoo miles when reveiwing every day items, eg. your kettle or your little ones toys. Then when you hit a set target you can claim £25 in Amazon vouchers, and then the next target you can claim a £50 cheque. I am currently doing Dooyoo like mad as I have seen a Smart Trike on Amazon that I would like to get my little girl for Christmas. It all adds up and is a really friendly community.
Ooh also there is a fab thread on here called Sneaky Ways to Save the Pennies.... its really quite good!:money:Thermomix Santander Sainsburys Creation Loans Fluid Card Tax Credit OP

I'm glad you are happy here (and still "speaking" to me after I started your list!)MFW_DannyG wrote: »Haha thats ace... I like you writing my lists for me, now if you wouldn't mind doing everything on my lists for me too that would be great!

Hey everyone - hope your all proud of me, today I went to the library after work and signed up! And I borrowed four books (unfortunately couldn't find cooking for Dummies
Katsu!) I borrowed a slow cokking recipe book, one about achieving goals and transforming your life , Money Magic by Alvin Hall & 'The Penny Pinchers Book Revisited.. don't know how good they'll be but they didn't cost owt so nothing lost. To be honest I was disappointed with the selection. I'm gunna go on the council website and order books in from other libraries I think next time!
SML, I already have the money diet book & thrifty ways.. I wanted to get one about foraging etc but no luck
Radish I spent the last week and a half reading SML's diary, I think she has a lot to answer for, that one!
thanks youngone for the cake making info, i'll have a go saturday so if im not back after then, its all your lots fault for putting peer pressure on me! _pale_
Pavlovsdog I know what you mean i'm sure i will slow down a bit once i get everything off my mind :rotfl:
Nice to meet you lookingtothefuture! Do you have a diary? if we r on a similar journey it would be nice to keep track of how your getting on too! thanks for the dooyoo suggestion, it sounds good so i'm sticking it on my todo list for this week, aswell as looking at the thread you recommended!
Gunna get some grub and then update everything! hope everyone had a good day! :beer:MORTGAGE JAN 2019

The library is fantastic - you pay council tax so you should maximise the benefit of it. I use Amazon to find books then order them online through my library's website. Seemples

Just a quick update on my list
1) Join Library - DONE!!
2) Look on Amazon for "cooking for dummies" (cheeky git!:o) or similar books and note down ISBN no's - Nothing on the system like that, so i'll just have to get info off the net if i need it!
3)Order books for free at the library (check this is free in my library, some apparently charge) - Picked up 4 books from the library
4) Buy Cooking Chocolate (Cheapest available)
5)Attempt to make rice krispie cakes without killing anybody
6) Join Imeasure & find out what its all about! - Joined, registered meters and registered meter readings!
7)Go down the nature reserve and pick some blackberrys before looking into what to do with them (Also keep an eye out for crab apples *Thanks SML)
8)While I'm on the subject also look on Amazon for a book about foraging for food and what to look for & what to make with it!and order from library - typed in foraging in the library catalogue for the whole county and nothing came up!
9) Look into joining dooyoo - Joined tonight and will look at writing reviews from tomorrow!
10) Try and get round to reading the 'Sneaky Ways to Save the Pennies.... ' thread!

Hey Danny
I have found you on Dooyoo! Well done for joining! Its not quick cash but a review each day soon adds up!
I dont have a diary... yet. To be honest with you I have been on the DFW boards for a little while trying to pay my horrid CC off, I have paid off quite a lot so far but still have roughly £2.5k to go. However between you and me I think this may be paid off next month in full
Oh I will be so happy to see the back of those! Well I will let you know if everything goes to plan!
With the possibility of the CC gone I needed something else to concentrate on as I am too addicted to money saving now! and so am thinking the mortgage is the next thing to go! My OH and I would like to expand our little family in the (Near!;)) future and so will need a bigger house however we do not want a bigger mortgage really so are going to try and over pay as much as poss in order that we dont need too much more money when we do move. Also it will give us an idea of what we can afford for the next house! It is very exciting!
I also want some savings as we currently have NONE! However the reason for this is that Martin says 'Pay off your debts with savings'! lol! So I am going to split the money I would of spent on over paying the CC and any spare money I get, half to savings and half to paying off the mortgage. Well thats my plan anyway! However I am about to return to work after my maternity leave, and will be doing a lot less hours so my money is going to have to stretch further. I like a challenge though! As do you I see!
Anyway I am rambling now... the reason I dont have a diary as all I do is ramble! lol!
See this link (I hope it works) I particularly like the boil the kettle once a day and put it in a thermos idea
