Good to see your positivity Danny.

My tip on the lists - break it up and only have a few things on it each week. That way you are more focussed on clearing them and don't have a mountain to climb in one go. That is why I have a few things on a long term list and do my weeklies.

Cheers SML & MOOC & Katsu, I guess a good thing about these diaries is that in 6 months you can read back where you have been down about something thats happened and see how well you have got over it, and maybe even how it was for the best!
O god I didn't even realise you could burn the chocolate...how would i know its burnt? I guess the smell?! and the smoke alarm going off!:rotfl:
Yea you can tell you would like to teach - I bet your hubby knows who the boss is :rotfl:

    Thanks for your suggestions everyone!
ScotsLass, The combi boilers are efficient for your heating and to a certain point for your hot water (especially if its a condensing boiler, which all new ones are meant to be now) However if you find yourself using a bit of hot water its much less efficient than having a boiler/cylinder system. Sorry to get a bit geeky here but I went on a course the other day for certain boilers and the guy said that combi boilers would no longer be put in new houses from a certain date as they have to be energy rated on hot water aswell, instead of just heating as they are currently. So their A rating for effieciency will likely drop to D or below! Thanks for the imeasure suggestion, i've never heard of it before but it sounds like something I would get excited about :rotfl:so i'm gunna sign up tonight

Right, its a condensing boiler that I have and I think it has an A or AA rating. So is that rubbish?

Lol at the cake escapades! Also, everyone has a different cooker and you need to get to know your oven. Please dont give up. Oh and what about joining a library instead of buying books. Our library does special sessions for babies and books. So your LO might like it and you can borrow some baking books ;)

Yea thats not a bad idea, there is a library about 5 mins away, do you have to pay to borrow books? probably yea im guessing!? but i havn't used the library since i was about 10 and I know it was free then for me!
As for your boiler A and AA class is great, heating wise. All i would say is just be careful with your hot water usage, goes without saying the more hot water you use the more expensive it is - but more so with a combi than a boiler/cylinder combo. Saying that if you have had an old cylinder and tanks removed, i'm pretty sure you are still gunna be better off with you new combi than you would have been with the old fashioned system.

Haha thats ace... I like you writing my lists for me, now if you wouldn't mind doing everything on my lists for me too that would be great!
So okay after spending all night reading Radish72's diary I have been shamed into getting my bum into gear and start doing something!
So my to do list for this week.
    1) Join Library
    2) Look on Amazon for "cooking for dummies" (cheeky git!:o) or similar books and note down ISBN no's
3)Order books for free at the library (check this is free in my library, some apparently charge)
    4) Buy Cooking Chocolate (Cheapest available)
5)Attempt to make rice krispie cakes without killing anybody (you can't get food poioning from Rice Krispie cakes can you!)
    6) Join Imeasure & find out what its all about!
7)Go down the nature reserve and pick some blackberrys before looking into what to do with them (Also keep an eye out for crab apples *Thanks SML)
8)While I'm on the subject also look on Amazon for a book about foraging for food and what to look for & what to make with it!

Will look at my longer term list tomorrow night when I can think straight!! Starting to get tired - been a pretty head wreckin day. But tomorrow is a brand new day and I'm gunna wake up super revitalised!! Feel a bit like theres a weight off my shoulders knowing for sure whats going to happen work wise - just wish I could go straight into it next week instead of having to wait a bit longer!
On a side note - Just wanted to say how great the MFW forums are and how friendly and helpful everyone is, I've spent a lot of time previously on the 'up your income' & Matched Betting boards and there are so many nasty, arrogant people on there who talk down to you! But its great on here!
