    Use joists and rollers.

Get a tow rope and secure it around the safe...Then thread it through one of the load securing hoops in the back of the transit behind the safe. You might want to loop it a couple of times around the loop, or thread it through a couple of the hoops, or both...

Then, use the rope to slowly lower the safe down the ramp onto the pallet truck.

I would not put your missus in the way of the safe, since you can always get another safe should the worst happen.

yes never thought of that ....misus could hold the rope she is only little i would not dream of putting her infront of safe. Need her to do the cooking and ironing lol:rotfl:

old mattress on the floor under the van, tie safe to something solid, drive van forward quickly, get out of van to view safe sitting on mattress, (along with rear bumper of transit) :rotfl:

*am desperately hoping that someone has a good idea re this problem*

His plan at the moment is to roll the 80kg safe down two planks on rollers....with me at the bottom to stop/catch it. The safe weigs 10x what I do so I can not see this ending well!! I forsee a trip to casualty unless someone can come up with a better suggestion:shocked:
So you weigh 8kg? You don't need a safe, you and justjohn should spend your spare coppers on feeding you properly.

    PMSL.....

That was meant to be 1.5 x my body weight (think my numerical keypad is playing up...LOL).

I only weigh 7stone 10pounds though so perhaps you are right anyway....*goes off to eat chocolate*:rotfl:

Why not just leave the van doors open with it on view?
With luck someone will assume it's full of dosh and start removing it for you...
