Maybelline the pink one with the black lid!
 I use that too as it doesn't irritate my eyes.

    my faves:

Max Factor False Lash Effect - very dramatic, only sweep this one across the tips very lightly for daytime use
Clinique Naturally Glossy - very natural looking
Max Factor Masterpiece - nice brush that gives good separation
and Diorshow - deep black and dramatic colour

With all these I use tweezerman lash comb, its a metal comb that looks like a row of safety pins, and makes any mascara look good..

ps atill looking for soemthing that will make my lashes look super thick, though maybe I just need to apply thicket coats, but am scared to try that at the mo...anyone got any recs for volumising without looking drag-queenish?

That's the beauty of makeup - it just washes off! Try it when you're not going anywhere and see what happens with additional coats.
Have you thought about a lash primer - it conditions your lashes and bullds up volume without colour. Use it immediately beneath your mascara.
  • Goodness is amazing how people's opinions vary! I hated zoom lash!

And with Volume I think the best think is one thin coat off a mascara thats good at lengthening, and then one with a really big fat brush for volume - Bourjois Volume Effect Clubbing is the best I've used for that, despite the fact that I find it totally unworkable on its own.
    Two thumbs fresh!:money:

Thats a good idea, I need to experiment with my makeup more!:j

I have tried a lash primer before, but it looked sooo clumoy and horrible, but maybe I am just used to using a really thick coat of mascara..have wondered about the blinc mascara, wihs I could get a sample of that

ftfranki - I have thought about layering before, maybe the false effect one to lenghten followed by the natural looking clinique one to build up layers without looking

I think I need to have more fun with my makeup! I have about 2 drawers full of the stuff, and I reckon I only use about 6 products all the time, max..

  • I've never actually found a lash primer I liked but one thing I have learned from experience is that you must not use it like a normal mascara and go from root to tip:- scrape the excess off the brush and then just rock what's left back and forth onto the base of the lashes. Let it dry and then apply ONE COAT of mascara over the top.

I think that false lash would work really well for layering, but I didn't find it all taht dramatic when I used it.

  • Try blinc's lash primer - not too clumpy!

I recently re-visited an old mascara...remember when Rimmel was one of the top makes in the...well back then :D

I bought Rimmel Extra Super Lash just as a cheap replacement when ordering other bits and bobs and by jo its brilliant...better than my more expensive Bodyshop one...i love the way it makes my lashes seperate, makes them look pretty to me.

I always used to use this one and i remember why now ;)

I would buy any one of the clarins ones...I don't buy any other make-up regularly and am often tempted but have resisted for over 2 years now...:D
