    I finally got my PIN and logged into my brand new ING internet banking account. There was no sign of the £20 so I called up. The guy said that it can take up to 28 days to show, but that 'it had been programmed in' so I should get it mid-August. I'm dubious...

    Yep me too. The customer service lady has just told me that it takes 28 days to show. She wanted to know who gave me the code. I said a friend (no lies there as we are all friends here!) So I guess we just wait and see.
    Their calls are recorded and I did ring to check I was eligible before sending the cheque so should have a reasonable arguement if it does not appear.:)
