I opened an account yesterday morning, I have logged into it today and my £20 incentive for opening the account is showing, I did not have an address mail drop just used the code quoted ING035 off website

I paid deposit by debit card and both transactions are showing on my account, deposit and miscellanous credit of £20

** Sorry my mistake the code I used was ING085 thanks to VT82 for questioning it.

I thought the code I used was ING085?

I wish I had been able to fund mine straightaway with a debit card. Their reason for making me send in a cheque was very spurious.

Strange how I'm failing to get email notifications of new posts in this thread. Last one was for post 28 on 20/7/10. I haven't switched it off and is still listed as a currently subscribed thread.

On the online application it said to me I needed to phone customer service to open the account, yet I got the letter from them with the offer.

Oh well, that sounds promising then! I did not get any mail drop either.

I opened the account 2 days ago and made the deposit by debit card. I have just checked the account and while my original deposit is in there are no signs of a miscellaneous £20 credit! :(

I guess I will give them a few more days. If they simply do not credit my account with the bonus I will just ring them up and close the account there and then.

But had you previously had an ING Direct account that you closed even if it was longer than the 6 months after which you can get another?

Never held a ING Direct account in my life nor as my hubby and he has checked his account today which he opened two days ago and deposited by debit card and he has received £20 as well quoting the code off website.
  • I opened one of these but missed he small print about selected people being eligible.

I think this is underhand of them tbh, I was thinking about moving my savings across to them but not anymore, i will be closing the account with immediate effect!

Also just had a thought. I have been an ING customer on and off for years, the last time being over a year ago and used to get various mailings from them. I've moved since then so maybe I am on the mailing invitation list but the post has gone to their last known address for me! This could affect quite a few people

We also opened an account online using only the 'online' code ING035 and received the £20.00 today.
