Yes. I saw the below but no explanation of it::
Some calling plans aren't available with Line Rental Saver
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

So, you'd be lending BT £131.88 (12 x £10.99) for 12 months so as to get a £12.60 (£1.05/month) cost-reduction over that period. Now that may be more than 3 times as much as £131.88 would earn you in a savings account (assuming 3%, that'd only be £3.96 before tax) but it still doesn't sound like value for money to me.

Isn't it worse than this? As an existing customer you would also lose the £15 per year paper-free billing discount.

Suppose, just suppose, the Unlimited Weekend Plan is one which isn't available.

"You qualify for Line Rental Saver if you have paper-free billing and one of the following products:
    • Unlimited Anytime Plan
    • Unlimited Evening and Weekend Plan
    • Any package of products, such as phone and broadband"
    http://bt.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/13962/c/345

So the Unlimited Weekend Plan on its own is not included.

    Unusually, not.
How will I know when my Line Rental Saver term is coming to an end?
Your Line Rental Saver doesn't automatically renew. But don't worry, we'll email you about a month before the 12-month term ends to let you know how and when to reapply for Line Rental Saver. This information will also be on your bill.

Heinz i see that the Rental Saver doesn't automatically renew but if you do not renew this package in advance then at the moment the fall back packages

    Unlimited Anytime Plan
    Unlimited Evening and Weekend Plan

are classed as auto roll over packages. ???

No. That only applies to the Plan offered as "Unlimited UK+ Evening and Weekend Calls at no extra cost with a 12 Month renewal contract".

Can you have the evening & weekend plan for the same price with the 12 month advance payment plan ... well you are agreeing to a 12 month term?

    If you mean this Plan

I wouldn't think so. Only the Unlimited Anytime and Unlimited Evening and Weekend Plans are eligible for the Line Rental Saver.
Do the 2 calls per month need to be chargeable? (as opposed to simply included within the calling plan)
I don't quite understand what you are getting at. All 0p per minute calls within a Calling Plan are chargeable calls.

"What happens if I don't meet the minimum call commitment?

If you're monthly billed you'll need to make at least two calls a month. If you're quarterly billed you need to make at least six calls in each quarter (these can be chargeable or inclusive calls). Otherwise you'll be charged £1.50 a month (£4.50 a quarter). "
