You don't HAVE to collect things on your specified delivery date ... there've been a few times I've left orders sitting in store so I could collect 2 at the same time & save a trip. Last time was last week - they re-scheduled a delivery to store for Wed & I had another already scheduled for Thursday, so i collected both on Thursday.

I guess if you left it too long there might be a problem, but I've never even had a comment about leaving it a few days.

i think you have 7 days to collect from store, so as above post states, just collect when convenient to you in one go...

make sure u give them a ring and tell them that u will collect it on day u can. the most important thing is u informed them that u are still interested or else they will send it back after certain period (14 days i think)

I'm another one that has had a number of problems with M&S on-line shopping - with orders being cancelled, items going out of stock (and being notified over a week after ordering). I think their ordering/stock system is appalling and they really need to do something about it. To top it all, I used the 'instore collection' option this sale for the first time.....to find when I actually arrived there to collect my order, it had been delivered to another store by mistake. So a total waste of a trip!

7 days is the limit they'll hold it for you unless you call them

Great... first order with M&S

Ordered 20 items... some great bargains, some ok. Received ? NOTHING all cancelled. Every item. They're not even showing any orders in my past history either, so I wasted 2 hours on the site the other day for zero!

what a waste of time they canceled my order!
glad i didnt spend a long time looking on site they shouldnt allow you to order if they dont have the stock cos its took a few days for cancelation message to come through and there still advertising the items i bought
