I started with a £200 credit limit a couple years ago and I'm on £5,500 now.

This thread made me look at the accounts my Wife and I have, and have found that some of the levels of credit on our accounts are just crazy. £6400 on Very, £1900 on Marshall, £2000 on Additions Direct amongst others.

Some of those limits were automatically increased by 25% very recently.

We are now reviewing what we really need and will close down some and maybe reduce limits on others.

do you think having large amounts of credit on such accounts but not using them benefits your credit file or hinders it?
