Exactly
On a more serious note, I actually know plenty fellow bikers who are happy to cart the kids around on the back of the bike so long as they wear the correct safety gear and are old enough to behave properly.
The kids love it and turning up on the back of dad's bike gets them loads of kudos with their mates0 -
As mentioned earlier, there are different types of idisability, I'd love to bump into you when i park in a bb space.
You won't like me, as you can't see what's wrong with me, thats the thing tho isn't it, if you can't see whats wrong with the person who is parking in a bb and displaying a badge, you don't know what their illness is, and i bet if you don't go up and have a go at them, i bet you wish you could. People like you make me sick, people who are issued bb, do so because they have a need for it
Eh? Did you even read any of my previous posts? Yet another person who gets a stick up their......and jumps to conclusions.
I didnt say only people with visable disabilities should be allowed to use disabled bays. Rather that only people who have a genuine need for them should use them. If you actually read further back you'll see both my parents are blue badge holders and you wouldnt know to look at my dad either. As for only people who need it being issued with bb, nope there are those issued in error. Just like there are those who arent issued with one who really need one.
Go read my previous post where i had a go at someone else for assuming that a disabled person was using P&C for no reason other than to (apparently) irk the OP..........i said if it bothered them that much to go and ask them and that rather than jumping to conclusions (kinda like you've just done) to stop and think if there may be underlying reasons/issues. My whole point was that there are people who use them who dont really need to and therefore could deprive someone who has a genuine need and who cannot access the shops at all without it.
As for the "how dare you!" person......how dare i have an opinion? If you dont like people having opinions then feel free to move to another country who restrict such freedoms. You're getting back on your high horse (although i doubt you've ever gotten off). I said people with mobility issues...........that can include blind people.
So rather than jump down my throat maybe question why you reacted so badly..........guilty conscience? You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
As far as I was aware, that is the only way you can get a blue badge - depending on how far you can or can't walk. Someone correct me if I am wrong.
But we've already established you dont need a blue badge in order to park in a disabled bay on private ground.
Fact is there are people who take the mick. They'll use their relatives/friends BB in order to get a space closer to the shops when theres nothing wrong with them and they dont stop to even consider for one minute that there are people who rely so heavily on disabled spaces that they wouldnt be able to go about their business if they didnt have access to one.
I'm quite glad i stay in a smallish town as we dont get a lot of people who do that, maybe because theres more danger of someone they know catching them?
The only people who really tend to do it on a regular basis are the police. And you'd think they'd have the common sense/decency not to.You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -

Would you like to elaborate of what i am supposed to be guilty of?0 -
But I'm not on about a disabled person parking in a normal parking spot. It is quite right that they have special wide spots to park in. It is good if P & C spots are available but these are not so vital to parents as disabled spots are to disabled people - surely that is obvious.
And yes, the ability to park can make quite a different to how much room you leave yourself to get out - again, that is obvious.
You have wandered off on this.
My point is that there was 1 P&C parking spot and lots of available disabled spots. Yet the blue badge driver used the last P&C spot.

Yet again you are jumping to conclusions without having read all the information correctly. If you read what i wrote again, you will see that was aimed at someone else entirely.
