I have a 2 year old and in those 2 years very rarely bothered to use the P&C spaces I just find the space that has the most amount of room on the side that the babs will be getting in and out of. I have legs and so has my daughter (and before that a buggy!). I don't give a stuff how near I am to the store.

I also have a mum in law that cannot walk. CANNOT WALK. I reiterate as the clue is in the question. I would (and have) park in disabled spaces, double parked, parked on yellow lines, loading bays and yes wouldnt even blink about parking in a P&C bay if I am taking my mum out.

    It was your question?
Why is it when there are an abundance of disabled parking bays but only rare parent & child parking slots, do some blue badgers insist on parking in the parent & child spots??

Im surprised nobody has noticed yet that those black & white badgers have been superseeded by more cunning blue ones who will pinch your parking spot

  • To be fair, whilst having children is a choice etc, it is pretty hard work getting kids in and out of the back with car seats in narrow spaces, I have two children , and leaving enough space to carry the infant carrier in one side, and lift a 20 month old into the other can be tricky without banging someones car- plus when my eldest was younger she'd often fall asleep in the car, meaning I needed to carry two children under two into the shop, so to be fair, if there were loads of empty disabled spaces and lots of disabled people parked in the parent and child spaces, I'd be miffed too.

That been said, the two kids mean that I'm now too skint to run a car, so have to do all my shopping on foot/bus with a double buggy- that's even more fun:D
Hoping to get money smart enough to avoid working full time and paying extortionate money to a stranger for the privilege of enjoying my two beautiful children for 40+hrs a week until my son is 3 and my daughter starts school in 2012 :D
