We'll agree to differ, if it's a converted historic bus.0

If you passed your car test before 1997 and still have the paper licence, it will have group 'A'.
If you changed it and have a later licence, it should have the same category entitlement as the old group 'A', which should include 'C1+E'0 -
That bus isn't cat C1. It's between 10 and 15t0

Hey guys,
Thanks for your interest!
We grilled the DVLA when we first acquired it, and were satisfied that it is still a large passenger carrying vehicle - it needs to have been constructed or adapted to carry over 16 passengers. Our bus was, and still is.
And as it's over 30 years old it can be driven on a cat B licence.
it's registered as: body type Motor Caravan, taxation class Historic Vehicle. This gives us the best of all worlds as the MOT is cheaper, vehicle tax is free, and it is London LEZ and congestion charge exempt.0 -
Thanks so much for all the great advice and input, it's been great to see that others have done this before us and that I shall prevail on getting our bus on the road.0
