Has anyone else applied for a cinema that is still showing as pending on React? I've not worked for them before so I don't know what their standard practice is, but I applied for it a good few days ago now, and it's still available on the jobs board. Is this normal?!?

They sacked me from everything Pennies . And for no reason, as per normal.

I don't go to Haverhill as the road's awful and also I lived there for too long to want to go back, even on a mystery shop :rotfl:. Sudbury and Newmarket are both nice to go to, but only if there's enough jobs to make it worthwhile, and normally there's only one or two.

There seems to be enough to keep us all busy though, thank goodness. :)

Oh no  I suppose no great loss but on the other hand, no-one really wants to be sacked by them. I have toyed with the idea of venturing out to Haverhill as jobs for there seem to hang around but I would have to be able to do a circuit via Bury. Maybe fit Sudbury in too or venture the opposite direction to Cambridge. I like Sudbury for its free parking too.

Yep, my application is still pending. The visit is not due for a while so its not unusual for applications to still be pending.

Good to know then I guess.
But does that mean it's less likely that I will get it though as if it's still on the Jobs Board then others might have applied for it as well.

Like someone earlier said - do they not realise we have a life!
Or a different MS job we might be able to do that evening at least! :D

Yep, but if you don't get allocated it this time round, due to the rotational rules you'll be in with another chance next time round if you apply again. You'll know in plenty of time though if you have been successful or not. It was the other cinema visits with another company we were talking about, as it was looking like they were going to be allocated at the last minute.

It's a bit like when you ring a call centre and everytime you seem to get a different person with the same name... I reckon there are a few Mel's and a few Sarah's to be honest!! ;)

I wasn't too bothered to be honest as I hate the way Gap work.

If you're considering a ciruit Pennies, then I wouldn't recommend Haverhill to Sudbury as the road's awful. It's not that far mileage wise, but it's a slow windy road and takes ages :(. Whereas Haverhill to Cambridge is quite quick.
