I don't want to live about my means to any great extent, but it would be nice to be able to take a hol without having to save months ahead and live less... colourfully lol.
You really don't get it, do you?
Saving up for that holiday now means that you reduce your lifestyle now for a few months so that you can save. You can then go away on that holiday and come back without any debt.
If you put it in the card then you come back with all the debt and you STILL have to reduce your lifestyle to make the card payments, only there is less incentive as you can always make the minimum payments and stay stuck in that debt trap.
The people on these boards have seen it all before and can see a disaster waiting to happen from miles off.0
