:jHi, just like several others I too found this thread to late. Was looking for a property development loan with these people, same story, paid the upfront fees, been strung along over two months with never ending requests for further information, updated cashflow forecasts, more bank statements, frivilous requests for other information totally unconnected to making a loan decision, etc etc, but never any formal loan decision. Will not provide proper details of who the 'lender' is, and I have just checked their Data Protection Act registration details with the ICO and they are void, they have no records for Hallmark in any form. However, obtaining personal data without a valid DPA registration is a criminal offence, this is the path I am now looking at. Anybody with anything new, please post.
I've had dealings with Lloyd Green @ Hallmark finance and basically they strung me along for a few months asking for details of bank statements CV's etc etc the goal posts were moved time and time again, I paid £850 up front for a "valuation" and some grubby chain smoking man attended. To cut a long story short I had a little meeting with Lloyd green or who ever he is , and put him on the spot requesting any proof of documentation from "mercury" finance which funnily enough he couldn't produce although he had my "file" in front of him :-)
anyway with a bit of let's say gentle persuasion he refunded my £850 in cash :-) as I always say there's no harm in violance !!!0 -

Just to check am i definitely going to have no luck?
Read other blogs there is no finance company or loan !!!!!0 -
Thanks to magpie cottage for the link. Reported these scamsters to ActionFraud and Barnet Trading Standards, suggest you all do the same if they are to be stopped.:T0

I have just found this forum, again too late I am currently trying to get a deal from hallmark, just posted back a load of info yesterday. I was looking for a deal for a new build on a house, I am in for £1350. If this is the case it looks like my deal is about to fall through. Is anyone looking to take this further to get their money back?0

Yep me! Been pi**ed about for 6 months now by Lloyd Green, starting Court action as soon as, but just been told by my Household Insurance provider under the legal insurance section that I am not covered for contract disputes involving Mortgages, Loans etc, so looking for another route. Would love to get some sort of joint action going, but don't know how to go about it and whether enough victims would support it?:mad:0 -
