Thank you so much Jodles, it has been and still is a roller coaster but it has taught me so many things along the way. A DMP was not something I wanted to do in the beginning but it has been a blessing in disguise...I'm so excited to be debt freeDebt Free 1st March 2017

I have to share this with SOMEONE and my OH has no interest:(
...I am about to make the last payment on one of my 11 debts:j:j
...and I have been able to ring the bank to confirm the balance;), in the early days I wanted to kill myself rather than ring a creditor and admit that I couldn't pay them.
This was a 10k loan and I now owe £45.23p:j:j:j
It's taken me 5 years and 3 months but I am so happy and motivated.
1 down 10 to go:cool:

PS when I told OH, he said "Well it has been a weight for you", this was a joint loan:mad: Then he changed the subject. I don't think I will bother telling him about any of the others when they finish;)Debt Free 1st March 2017

That is absolutely fantastic news, Ellie:j. I'm really pleased you came on here to tell us. You must be so chuffed and proud of all your hard work. Congratulations:dance:. The rest will be gone before you know it.
Your OH sounds a real prat:mad:. After all your efforts and that's the best he could do by way of praise and encouragement:(. He'd be in a sorry state if you hadn't taken responsibility for everything. Men, eh?:(
Brogden, I'm totally with you on having to celebrate on my own. It's so sad but in a way empowering because we've done it despite disinterested partners.
Happily, we can celebrate here in cyberworld:beer:_party_0 -
That is great news and just the beginning. Shame that oh is so disinterested. You have the patience of a saint. Well done. Xx0

Well that took the wind out of my sails!
I rang SC to inform them that the last payment to my loan is £45.23 instead of the £49.96 they have been paying. The person I spoke to now informs me that they will reduce the payment to £25...why????
She said that it's because I have had changes on my other debts...I haven't!
I think I will have a look at going self managed;)Debt Free 1st March 2017
