    Hi Ellie

I,ve just read through your posts - sounds like you are in a similar position to us except that we are now more than a year in to our DMP. We had to sort of start the DMP again in March when OH went BR but back on track now.

It sounds like you have made a positive start - keep positive and things will turn out well in the end (and OH will come round to your way of thinking when he begins to see the debt coming down - mine did and he is the most stubborn man on earth!)

I will be following your thread to see how you get on.

Thanks for the encouragement Suze, I do try to stay positive and feel much better than I did a few weeks ago. I'm coming to the conclusion that men have a totally different way of handling things than us and its probably just a different way of coping with things:)

Hi Jackie, I can't believe how much stuff I have sold on ebay but I'm now running out of stuff to sell but on the other hand the rooms in my house are much tidier!!

You are right the dmp is not now the first thing on my mind each day but I'm finding that I'm now becoming quite obsessed with saving money!! I do tend to go into things full on and this is no exception:o

I've set up a spreadsheet now for a spending diary, I've been reading a thread where a lady has been keeping track of her spending since the beginning of the year so I thought that I might do the same from now until the end of the year just to see where my money is going.

I've also been doing some of the surveys and daily click sites but I don't know how long these will hold my interest?

    Speak soon

Payday tomorrow, Wahay! Cannot remember the last time that my bank account had money left in it at the end of the month, even though its only £20 it's still a miracle:)

Back to work tomorrow, which I am not looking forward to:( I have applied for loads of jobs but not getting very far with this and my mind has been more occupied with sorting out our debt. So I must try a bit harder but its difficult finding something on a similar salary to what I'm on at the minute without having to constantly travel.

OH is still driving me mad!!

    Hi Ellie

My pay day was last thursday so now I have to strecth it out until the last thursday of the month so it will be five weeks for me.

Im getting a bit obssesed with e-bay keep going round the house looking for stuff to sell its quite satisfying when you make a sale.

Oh being really horrible and wont speak to me if he does e is very sharp making a bad atmosphere dont know what I have done this time.

I too am looking for another job but there just arnt any round here that fit in unless you want to look after old people.

Wish I could save some money this month but just still dont seem to have any spare it all seems to go on food. I am trying really hard not to spend any money but find it impossible when the kids are at home.

Hope your day back at work is ok another week at home for me.

I know what you mean about ebay becoming an obsession, I have already sold a lot of stuff on ebay so haven't really got that much to sell now but I do still manage to find the odd thing.

You could well do without your OH being horrible to you, have you asked him what the problem is? If he would at least say why he is being so off with you then you would know where you were up to.

Make the most of your week at home Jackie

I'm trying to think of ways to save money and have joined the £10 per day challenge. I've also been saving all my change and have £14 plus, I just keep a tin with any change thats in my purse at the end of the day although to be fair I have used some of this during the month which has saved me from taking money out of the bank account.

The other thing that I have done which I have kept secret from you all so far is that I have stopped smoking!!!!! I am now putting £3 per day away which is mounting up pretty quickly (£42 in 2 weeks). I have not had a cigarette for 2 weeks now but have kept it quiet just in case I gave in. I am so proud of myself as this probably wasn't the best time to stop what with the stress and everything but so far so good.

I am also trying to have no spend days so will jot these down in my diary as they happen. The NSD is difficult when you have children but mine are grown up so I should be able to achieve this.

I think that the grocery challenge is next on my list and I have been popping into Aldi to try out some of their stuff which I must say is quite good so far. Our budget from CCCS for food is higher than we have had for a long time so I'm hoping to make some savings out of this.

Hi Jackie, I've started doing some of the daily clicks and completing surveys from a thread that I found on here. If you are really dedicated then I think that you can make around £3 per day, I don't think that I have the time to spare to do this though. The other thing that people seem to be doing is mystery shopping and I've looked into this as well but not done anything about it.

If I find anything else that might be of use to you I will let you know
