    Hi Ellie

I hate it when they are at home getting under your feet you feel as if you cant relaxe and they are watching what you are doing.

Sorry about MBNA it may be better going to a DCA as Ive been told they are more likley to accept the offer. I would have panicked a few weeks ago as well its funny how your attitude changes.

    Stay strong Jackiexxx

Not really got much to update, phones have quitened down, no letters yesterday, first payment due to go out next Wednesday. I'm sure that this will change as we have not heard from all our creditors yet?

Anyway, busy day for me today:

Have hair cut & coloured - absolutely desparate £35
Sort out junk for car boot sale on Sunday
    Take youngest daughter food shopping
    Visit mum & dad

OH has no work today - mild panic:eek:

My holiday is almost over, so it will be back to the grind next week:(

I am the new and improved Ellie with my new hairdo which really did need doing, cost £35 for cut and colour and I now have 8 weeks to save for the next one:)

Everything is now ticking over with my first payment to CCCS due on 1st Sept. Received two more letters from Santander saying that the amount we are offering is not sufficient but to carry on paying and they will review the situation regularly. Just awaiting one more reply now and then we have the full set.

OH has no work today and this is really starting to make me panic as we will struggle to keep up with the dmp if he has nothing coming in:eek: He just sits watching TV all day which is really annoying me, I'm the type of person that has to do something about the situation that we are in but he will just sit and wait for it all to come crashing down around his head!! When I try to broach the subject and come up with ideas he just gets angry. He now does not answer the phone at all so he is losing business just by doing this, if I answer the phone to a customer I take a message and say that he will ring back but he isn't doing that either  Not sure how to deal with this anymore?????

Today I am taking my youngest daughter to an interview for a job, she spent a long time in college and is on a terrible wage so perhaps this is her big break - lets hope so:)

OH finally got of the settee and went and did some of his outstanding jobs, perhaps it was the black looks that worked:mad:

All bills paid for this month with £20 left in new account and £40 in envelopes towards emergencies:) Payday on Tuesday and first payment to CCCS on Wednesday.

I have now received 10 replies from 11 creditors, some freezing interest and charges and others saying they do not accept the lower payments but will freeze interest and charges. I expect these to default me.

Went into town with DD for interview which went well so fingers crossed for her:)

Not much more to report so far today

  • Hi Ellie

I have just read all of your diary and i would just like to say, it has made me feel "normal" as i have exactly the same problems and feelings like you had.
After to chatting to you the other day on my thread i have decided to take each day as it comes, I am waiting for the co-op current account to get back to me and Natwest step account as i will feen much better when i have a new account open to move my money from Santander......think i told you i have mortgage and loan with them!
Hoping something will come through the post today.
Which bank account did you open in the end?

Anyway thank you so much for writing your diary i will be sure to continue reading as i can relate so much to both yours and Jackies comments.

Big hugs and have a good bank holiday weekend

Its a good job that we are tough sometimes though isn't it? Daft comments from the men in our lives seem to be the norm at the moment, my hubby seems to think that we now have shedloads of cash as we are no longer paying the CC's - I've given up trying to explain!

We are struggling together to pay bills so know exactly what you are going through but you've made it this far and I'm sure that you will continue to get by.

Take care and keep in touch

Hi Lisa, it's amazing isn't it how you do feel as though you are the only one with the bad feelings etc. but coming on here shows just how many of us there are! I've found myself looking at people when I'm out shopping and thinking "hmmm, are you in debt too?"

I'm sure that your bank account will come through soon, I moved to the Co-op from Santander and it took around 7 days to set everything up. I started moving my stuff just after my salary went into my original account, this gave me a month to move DD's etc. Tuesday will be the first time that my wage goes into my new account:)

I write my diary so that one day I can look back on this time and think Wow! did I really do all of that? and also it helps me put down all of my feelings and frustrations along the way:o

    Keep in touch

Having a relaxing day today, so haven't done very much. I was going to do a car boot sale today but we haven't got much left to sell so I didn't bother. I've put a few bits on ebay instead.

Making the most of the couple of days left before going back to work:)
