'We have here but five loaves and two fishes' Matthew 14:17
And I have 2 clients today, may the heavens help in making it into more. My first client has gone skipping down the path, says he feels really happy. Note to self, put up prices if they are feeling that happy. Sent him away with stack of business cards.
After doing my accounts I have decided to look for work. I will carry on doing the hypno, but all I can think of a the moment is money. DH does'nt want me to and is paying credit card this month for me as I have so many business bills to pay. He has his own business which is having ups and downs at the moment, so I don't want to cause him stress. If I get a job and use hypno money to pay debts I will be in a stronger position. I could then look into over payments for the mortgage I think we only have £40,000 to go and an endowment of about £25,000 that matures in a few years. Maybe I should work hard for a few years (43 now) and aim to be mortgage free doing hypno on the side.
I need to get back in control, when I was a single parent I was more in control. I knew what was coming in, and how much I could spend. Now I feel pennieless.
Lunch time then my client will be here. Will look for jobs later. Need somewhere with lots of staff so I can get there cash for hypno sessions.Sew it, knit it, glue it, reuse it , don't buy it0 -
'I think I should have no other mortal wants, if I could always have plenty of music. It seems to infuse strength into my limbs and ideas into my brain. Life seems to go on without effort, when I am filled with music'. George Eliot
Yesterday was a good day, I really enjoyed the client sessions and DSD wanted a session for weight loss so I did hers to. I'm hoping it will save on food bills :rotfl:
Today I will fill my ears with music as I hit the streets with my leaflets. Need some more clients for this week!
I have found a couple of jobs and will finish my applications this afternoon.
Sold 2 items on e-bay yesterday, so good money day, I need to keep it rolling.
Off to ceroc dancing tonight £8 , will only drink lime and soda though, so should be £10 for the night. I need a night off and some fun, I have not had any treats for ages, have been making do, and being imaginative with make up and toiletries. As I use something up I find something I can use up instead of buying. Going to need foundation soon though, any ideas out there, I have already dismissed gravy in face cream idea:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Ahhhhhh Bisto:DSew it, knit it, glue it, reuse it , don't buy it0 -
Morning Knitwit. How you are doing with your clients! Good luck with the job applictations. I like the idea of using up your things. Since I moved to Wales and started to work from home I have hardly bought any cosmetics. What I do now if I am going into town is I add a little foundation to my moisturiser and use it like a tinted moisturiser. Makes me feel nice but cuts down the costs. Hope that helps. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0

Hi Cherisong, the clients I have had have been happy with thier sessions and have said they will recommend me to friends. Did 2 yesterday but have no more this week. I am waiting for the rain to stop so I can put out leaflets, it only works out at 1 client per 100 leaflets given so far. Not good need to do more advertising but have no money, hence thats why I need a job. I am going to take advice given here to see about doing talks, it will be free advertising and people can be scared of hypnotherapy, I hope they will see I am a friendly face.
What is it you do from home?
I am going to tesco on friday with a £5 off £40 from the paper. We have all 3 kids this weekend so will need loads of food. I thought I would see what they have . I have used the Barbera Daily nail varnish befor, fantastic for the price, so I thought I would have look at the foundation. I do tend to put foundation on after plenty of moisturiser so it is like tinted. I use a lot of moisturiser, using up some E45 body at mo, it's actually really effective. I have not noticed any difference in the month I have used it.
Back to the job applications, BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I know how you mean - DH, DC and I have very different ways of dealing with money and that's why I started my diary - I need to know what's ahppening to it! When I was single (okay, a long time ago and probably wuldn't ever heave got a motgage on my own) I knew how much I had.
I like your way of cutting your food bills! LOL.
All the best with the applications (Boo! Or on the other hand - more money, possible new clients, new skills, maybe something you will enjoy?) (full time or part time?) and have fun on your evening out!Miggy

Right here it is the budget
DH is not interested in money saving, he laughs at me but admits it's because he can't be bothered. The arrangement we have is I pay for food shopping and he pays for the DD. This is why I am so keen to spend less at Mr T. We were spending about £400 a month. I have been through all the DD's changing all the suppliers to get best deals so he pays about £100 less a month than before I moved in, so he is happy.

Hi Knitwit67
I'm reading your thread with great interest as I am on the brink of starting my own hypno business too. I'm not expecting hordes of people to beat a path to my door, but it's very encouraging to read that your clients are happy with your work! Had you thought of asking your local paper if they would do an editorial piece on you by way of advertising? Or asking your local chamber of commerce if they could give you any help? I have found my local chamber very encouraging and am going to a marketting seminar with them tomorrow. If they have any wonderful ideas I'll pass them on to you!

Hi Dee2, any help would be fantastic. Yes I was trying to think of an angle to get in the local paper for free. Where did you train, have you started looking for clients yet?Sew it, knit it, glue it, reuse it , don't buy it0
