On the agenda today

hit the streets with more leaflets
start applying for jobs (boo hoo, needs must)
take DS to his driving theory exam
drop into old workplace on way back through to see if they have any jobs. (oh the shame of going backwards, but I like the people, hope they don't want leaving prezzies back, they where good prezzies):rotfl:
work on weight loss hypno plan, if the smokers can't see a good opportunity maybe the weight watchers will.

Onwards and upwards, today is the present, lets enjoy it!

DS failed driving theory test by 3 points. He's disappointed and I'm sorry he failed and sad I will have to pay another £35.00. Failure is not an option next time!

Hi, just done a quick catch up between about an million other things! Life is so hectic I need another couple of hours adding to the day. But I am determined to get a few minutes of me time.

I just read your plea for help. I think that the things you are doing so far are definitely moving in the right direction. Just a couple of ideas: the mission, should you choose to take it, is to promote the business so my ideas may not initially generate income but also, shouldn't cost anything but here we go
1) contact all of the Womens Institutes in your area (you can contact the regional office to get details) and volunteer to go in and give them a talk and a demonstration of your skills. They are always looking for new speakers to come in. They do sometimes pay but not always, but this might generate some business from the ladies there.
2) hire a hall in your local area and put on your own seminar at a reduced rate, or offer a 10% discount (or whatever is viable) for anybody booking further sessions
3) contact your local newspaper and tell them about your business start up and see if they are interested in running an article about hypnotherarpy. They will sometimes do this on a quiet news week.
4) Scout around for any fundraising events going on and ask if you can offer your services (this can be written of I think as part of your tax stuff - not a 100% about tax stuff though) as a prize etc. Some charities run ladies days where they get beauticians and hairdressers in to offer testers etc.
5) hold a house party with some of your ex colleagues along (you could sound out going back to them that way) and do a demonstration of what you do, they could then in turn ask you to do something similar for them.

As I said, a lot will not generate any income immediately but you would be promoting the business and possibly generating a lot of interest. I realise that a lot of your work will be one on one but I am sure that group sessions would be seen as a bit of fun by some people and they are more likely to give something like that a try in seminar environment where they will then see the benefits.

Great idea's thanks cherisong, I have thought of the WI but not contacted them yet. I could do a relaxation hypnotherapy, everyone loves those. I need to finish my 6 week slimming plan, that would interest the local papers. I was thinking of doing slimming classes later. I love your quote, thats what I keep telling myself, the harder I work to get there the more it will mean to me. I could do hypnotherapy into my 70's that gives me 30 years. We live in a world where we want everything now, I need to be patient and keep working on it. But my family come first so I need a job to keep everything turning, I don't want my dream to be thier nightmare. A parttime job would give me regular money, holiday and sick pay, and time to work on my business. And workmates, I miss that.
Time to drop some leaflets, 1000 to go, at least I'm getting fit:T

I had 3 phone calls yesterday and they all booked an appointment :beer: Just when I needed it I was given hope
I have busy day, we have house guests for the next 3 days working with DH, it's housework for me this morning, followed by visit to Mr t , and I have a client today. I want to get some more leaflets out to, I need to keep the momentum going.

:T:T:T:T to you for getting those bookings. I am a big believer in putting out positive thoughts. I once read something by Noel Edmonds about Cosmic Ordering, thought it was silly but still thought that I would "put out to the universe that I wanted to start driving again after 20 years and to own a car" I really didnt have any money to get a car so couldnt see it ever happening.Well I had a car within the timescale that I had wriiten down, I was so amused. I think that this is much more about positive thoughts and focusing than any cosmic interventions but hey it doesnt matter how you think of it as long as it works.
You put out positive messages and look what happens.

I completely understand about the workmates comment. I work from home but whenever I go into the big bad city office I feel quite envious of them all as I do like to have people around me during the working day. So if that is what you want to do then go for it. Who says that you can only do one or the other? Why cant you have the best of both worlds? Once you have what you want and are happy then everything for you family will just fall into place. You just watch!

On my way out with my leaflets, had 2 clients in first 7 days of challenge. I have 2 booked in for monday, need better response as the leaflets are expensive.

It's free listings on ebay this weekend so I'm going to declutter and sell,sell,sell.

DH work friends here for dinner tonight, 6 in total arriving at different times. I thought I would do a bolognaise with all the usual padding to stretch it. Have it in a big pot on the cooker, if we need to eat at different times it's ok, and I can freeze any leftovers. My mission today is to make it as big as possible using bottom of fridge treasure.

Thanks for mentioning ebay - I need to get a few things listed and it might as well be for free!
That bolognese will be yummy - for some reason 'bottom of the fridge' food always is.
Can you get any leaflets onto notice boards such as at your library or leisure centre? If you deal with health issues you might even get into a clinic or dentist's? I thought there are probably people who have made a mental note of your leaflet but put it to one side and if they see it elsewhere it might jolt them into action! (For instance while having the jitters waiting for an appointment).
I agree with cheri about the positive thoughts. I know nothing about hypnosis but I wonder if it's a kind of self-hypnosis to focus on positives and so recognise them for what they are and be ready to grab them when they show up?
