I've found out tonight that OH has to pay back a £4K loan before he can leave his job, or before his contract runs out in July.
NEVER RAINS BUT IT POURS.

I seem to be getting quite a few bits of 'paid for' sewing, it all helps keep the wolf from the door, most of the stuff I'm doing is repairs & I think people are repairing things they would previously have thrown away & replaced.

Corned beef... Anyone have any recipes? I might try some... to be honest I remember my mum making it... isn;t corned beef REALLY salty???
That's why I haven't eaten it in 8/9 years!!!
Thoughts? We spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy! Mortgage Free Wannabe :dance:Overpayments Made: £5400 - Interest Saved: £11,550 - Months Saved: 240 -
I think corned beef is quite salty, but we still eat it.
I use the same basic mince recipe for spag bol, chilli shepered pie etc.
I'm sure i posted it up here not long ago hmmmm
Anyways its on the grocery thread. It generally consists of mmince, re lentils, toms, herbs, garlic carrots and whatever veg i've got. Its quite savoury and i include all the fat fomr the mince as i think its gives extra flaour and taste.
I agree though i like fat, ghee (butter) in curry is lush, yes we know fattening but i still like it.
Managed to get a pair of shoes yesterday, functional, sturdy finished crossed i won't slip in them tomorrow. I can see it now, i'll slip and go flying in the crematorium and end up with my head in the priests crotch. Before anyone says bad taste, no this is exactly what my friend would have said had he still been alive. Except he would have been the one peeing himself laughing whilst picking me up.
Right better wake the boys up for school.0 -

I think we may have social unrest to some degree..mainly because there will probably be demonstrations which always herald problems..not sure wether it will really spread to 'the streets' as such but tbh who knows really how people are going to react, the next year or so are going to be um interesting..
