No it's fresh. Didn't know you could get frozen turkey mince.

Just thought I'd ask as thats where I buy mine from :)

Just back from Farmfoods, got my milk, bread and sugar. I love apple & blackberry crumble.

This is a long shot but I know some are Manchester residents on here, have any of you been to the car boot at Trafford? If so, is it big?

Maybe it's water as turkey doesn't have much fat, but lots of something comes out of it.

Anyway, just going to have quick look for crumble recipe and then off to make it.

    Thanks for everyones advise.

    :j:j:j:j:jDS has got a job at last:j:j:j:j:j

After having been made redundant 3 times in 18 months (works in retail) up to Xmas last year, the job center insisted he quit his college course (retraining in animal management) which he had done for 18 months, so only 1 term away (16 hours per week) from finishing, so he could go on their new deal job search course, which he did and didn't find a job.
Has had 8 interviews over the last 2 months and been told he's come in 2nd place etc and getting very depressed about the whole thing too.
So yesterday whilst GF was having an interview for college, I printed him out some covering letters and CV's stuffed them into envelopes and told him we would go round the shops in case notices in windows for vacancies.
He dressed smart casual and did a few, then I spotted one that said 4 hours on Sundays, no use to my DS who has his own flat to run but I thought they might have something else, so I stood in front of the note and told him to try in side as I seen an add on a web site (little white lie:whistle:)
He handed in CV and the woman opened it there and then, read it and said wait there, back 2 mins later and said the manager will see you now :D
It was interview day for a full time role that DS had done before:)
Said he would hear on Monday, but just called didn't want to risk him getting offered something somewhere else and when could he start:T
It is minimum wage, which he has never worked for, and doesn't finish till 9.30pm so takes up the day and evening but he doesn't care, its a lot more money than JSA.
He has asked if I could still make some 'meals on wheels' for him :D

I've read about turkey mince on several posts on this forum yet I've never seen it in the shops

Also, is Costco a Northern company? I've never seen one down here in Dorset.

We don't seem to have many Morrisons around either and the nearest Farm Foods to me is 26miles away too.

Great news annie finding job can be so demoralising as some employers never get back to you.

Did something brave today had to pay 200into Lloyds as overdrwan and avoid another 40quid of charges this weekend but few branches open on a sat.
So took bus 2kids bymyself to city centre.

First extortionate bus fares gone up but luckily day rider still 4quid.
It looked liek rain but lot of centre undercover.
Its just nice after few days couped up in house to just get out and browse as cant afford much atm.

My 4year old was so good so treated her today we had marks and spencer sandwiches, drink and choc on park bench 5quid.

Shes been lusting after jeggings for ages wnated some in marks other week 6quid, next its 7.50 so went in huge primark got some for 2quid and new top 1pound.
Shes so pleased really wish I could of affotrded the cheapy uggs for 5quid and some allinone sleepsuits for her.
Told her maybe next time was pleasentky surorised how much better range in primark is since opened huge store.
Primark had couple of cheap stocking filler puzzles, craft sets and books 2-3quid.

Only prob is got home she tried them on and theres hole in crotch.
Im going to try sew up as the busfare to town cost more than the jeggings.
bit dissapointing tempted to buy her the marks ones when got some spare cash.
We got family christening tommorow she wants to wear them then.
So nice to see her exited and pick stuff rather than me just saying no spent 4quid on her feel guilty as hubbys off to see troublesome stepson tonight and his mams demanded more money this month for extra clothes for him yet my girls hardly get anything new.

Had much around old shopping centre and theres new shop where big woolies used to be called family bargains its huge furniture, household toilitries, toys ext.
Im not sure how much cheaper they re, huge range of foods and softdrinks cheap.

Am tototally shattered now and hubbys home until after 7, babys asleep.

Lots to do tommorow as want to try do carboot
then get ready for trip to wales which les than hour in good traffic.
Be nice to see family .
I can see me making dads chutney until midnight .

I tend not to experience much negative attitude to the way I dress as I am a stones throw from Glastonbury, its pretty much normal here.

Your lucky, where i am, you tend to get abuse no matter what you wear.

Glad you weren't offended gailey. Absolutely shocking that the company was trying to talk ot your daughter, that's illegal.I would say to them its illegal you are not allowed to call me at certain times or try and talk to my child. Carry on doing it and you will be hearing from my solicitor as its a breach of mine and my families human rights. Its worth a try saying it to them. Hope your tax credits get sorted out x
Hippiechiq oh the bouquet fabulous! How lovely of your friend.
what a fab holiday jediteacher and bonus free veg!
    brilliant news annie!

Glad you enjoyed your trip out gailey, better your little one will be proudly showing off her new clothes tomorrow.

Well just forked out another £20 for oil filter and oil.Went to morisons and got my card rejected, turns out another four people around me also got theys declined. Was so not impressed anyways went to cash point and paid with cash instead,.Me and OH are not impressed every time we go there something happens, e,g the system went down or the woman broke my card arghhh.

Just collected loads of brambles so going to be making lots of jam in a bit.
