Don't know if this will help anyone but i made a YouTube vid about how to make yoghurt cheaply and from scratch. There are of course many ways of doing so, and this is just one way. Hope it helps someone to eak out the pennies :-)

Great, thanks for that, just left you your first comment.

Well i went to the hospital and guess what my cast is off!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm so happy i could jump and do the bunny hop :D.
So the consultant reckons my knee cap is 50% healed and in another 6 weeks should be fully ready to use. They didn't put another cast o as they said it should start to heal itself. so i ended up haven't to walk to the other side of the hospital for physio, been given exercises to do then i go back in a week/half time for more treatment as the muscles have deteriorated.

So also i;m still in agony i now go in the bath yeeesssssssss
sorry but i feel so liberated.

Started on a new pair of curtains today, so going to carry back on with them tonight while OH is at the climbing wall.

Thanks for all the good wishes!!! The fingers crossings must have worked as he got a good job offer today and starts on Monday :T:T:T:T:T:T:beer:
Can't believe it, it hasn't sunk in yet, though I cried on the train when he called me! several strangers said congrats after hearing my sniffled side of the conversation which was really nice! See, there are nice Londeners out there!!!:rotfl:and we treated ourselves to a waitrose dinner tonight to celebrate but it was a 1/3 off so only £2.66 :)

Although things are obviously looking better right now for us, I've learnt such a valuable lesson in how things can go so wrong so quickly and am going to build up our savings, concentrate on OP the mortgage and continue learning to cook from scratch. I feel more in control of our finances now and realise the luxouries we didnt realise we had. Thinking to start a mortgage diary on the MFW board to try to keep me motivated.

Hoping I can spread the silver lining to all those needing a break or good news at the moment!!

Also today put forward a case to get rebanded in the council tax - both sides of us are a band lower. One of them is semi detached with us so don't understand why we should pay more. fingers crossed we'll get lowered a band as our council tax is sooo high!

Going to check out the veggie recipes now - excited about that!!:j

It seems the rich are suffering dreadfully at this time of crisis. LINK Or at least their egos are.

QUOTE 'I know I have not yet had the courage to work out the exact discrepancy between the cost of my current lifestyle (albeit much more modest than before) and my income.'
