I know I wouldn't (and I wanted 3, but after number 2, never again  ).
JxxAnd it looks like we made it once again
Yes it looks like we made it to the end0 -
what about the stick things you dip in your urine and they tell you when sex is safe or an absolute nono. Sort of rhythm method with a bit of science thrown in and no nasty drugs.0

You have to remember for a guy having the chop is a big step as it is the end of his ability to have anymore children and that is emotional a huge step to take.:beer:0

Quickest and easiest for you!...
My fiancee and I used to use the Pill and condoms, but now it's just condoms as we will be trying for a family soon.0 -
We were told we should not have another. We had one son that was 1 year old when hubby took the plunge. We would never have gone for something so final if my health had been better. That said it was the best thing we have done. It has taken away the ooooopppss!!! factor. No more scares when I am a day late.
One other good thing was that once we were given the all clear to make sure all was in working order he went ooh no longer as he went oooohhhhh! It was a great side effect for both him and me.
Prior to this I was going to have the mirena coil fitted as this has the benefits of both the coil and the pill in one.The best bargains are priceless!!!!!!!!!! :T :T :T0 -
Well the pill was a fantastic method of contraception for me - I was such a miserable, moody, libidoless b*tch he'd never have got near me, and even if he had it was like the Sahara down there!
I ditched it for condoms which we both hate but we're at a stage where it's ok for us to be less careful most of the month. I felt a million times better within weeks of stopping the pill, I am losing weight for the first time in my life and I feel like I have 'me' back.
I hear that the Mirena coil is very good, particularly for those who've already had a child?0 -
I can't stand condoms - they just don't feel right! Not keen on the coil either as I would think about it being in there all the time
When I first met my husband we used condoms. Then I went on one mini-pill that made me throw up all the time. The second brand of mini-pill was ok for the first month, then I started spotting, then proper bleeding. I ended up bleeding most days, until one day I bled so heavy that I passed out. As it was a weekend, I ended up in A&E getting some other hormone tablets to stop the bleeding. That was the end of the mini-pill for me!
Went onto the combined pill called Microgynon and that made me throw up all the time and I got terrible headaches. Changed to Cilest which appeared to work ok. However I started putting on weight and felt run down, tired and generally yukky all the time. I just put it down to a combination of recurrent pain from a car accident injury and planning my wedding. I stopped taking the pill altogether in April when I married, and over the last couple of months I've felt more energetic, generally well, and the weight is coming off. I'm sure the symptoms were connected to the pill which has put me off ever going on it again.
Due to the bleeding/vomiting reactions, I am very reluctant to try injections or implants as the side effects are more long term. I can't take a number of other common prescription drugs due to reactions, and I'm scared of reacting to an injection/implant.
At the minute we're trying for a baby, but I've been diagnosed with secondary infertility so not sure if I'll be able to have one or not. If I do fall pregnant, he's said he'll have the snip afterwards rather than put me through any unecessary drug reactions. Here I go again on my own....0 -
We used a combination of the Pill (Brevinor, then Loestrin 30) and condoms as a pregnancy was absolutely out of the question. 6 years ago DH had the snip; I didn't ask him to but he offered when he saw I was serious about getting myself sterilised. And then ironically I found out this year that I probably could never have got pregnant even if I'd wanted toThe ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal. An ant can carry one hundred times its own weight, but there is no known limit to the lifting power of the average tiny eighty-year-old Spanish peasant grandmother.0

cerazette worked a treat for me (minipill) - 35, recent ex-smoker. Annoying for 6 weeks then no more periods (very money saving). Although every now and then I do a panicky preggers test just to make sureDebt free 4th April 2007.
New house. Bigger mortgage. MFWB after I have my buffer cash in place.0
