    Aber falls in Abergwyngregyn is a very good walk to take in the welsh hills and coast . About a hour walk and a great place to picnic. Enjoy Wales

    Thanks to the posters so far - we're going to Porthmadog in July and again in September (newspaper holidays!) so I shall continue reading your good suggestions. We will have a toddler with us, we're bound to do at least one railway, and Portmeirion is on the list ... I have weird plans to dress babba up in black with a numbered badge and take artistic photos of him being chased by a white balloon :rotfl:
