    Hi There

I recently reached 40,000 ppoints with test and vote and went to redeem my points for a £10 Amazon voucher. Of course it wasn't available so I emailed them. Here is the reply I received today:

    "Dear xxxxxxxxxxxxx,

Thank you for your email. The reason we have stopped giving out Amazon vouchers is that

we have had a lot of problems with them. We are currently working on finding a replacement

for these and we hope that the possibility for getting a better kind of voucher soon. I hope

those vouchers will be to your satsifaction.

    Best regards,

    David Sjölin"

The question I am bound to ask is what "problems" they have with Amazon vouchers? Do these vouchers misbehave - possibly turning cart-wheels? Are they anti-social vouchers? Or perhaps they are more sinister and sneak around at night letting down Mr Sjolin's tyres on his big BMW Fast Car?

I sent a similar complaint email when they changed the threshold a while ago - but that time I didn't receive a reply. Methinks test and vote really only want our details to sell on to others and there are no vouchers - naughty ones or not!
Maybe the "better" kind of voucher will clean up after itself.

It seems like test and vote won't pay for the vouchers. I'm going by other peoples experience because I received mine ok. I might recommend Lightspeed but I haven't got my voucher from them yet, if it comes within the time allowed then they are fine by me. I'll let you know. I've had a couple of product tests from test and vote and got my amazon voucher when I was supposed to, so I can't really complain about them.

I'm with Lightspeed - got my first voucher really quickly (well, it took a while to arrive - a couple of weeks, maybe, but it didn't take anywhere near as long as T&V, and they're not as annoying!).

That may help, but machine-translated language is usually rubbish.

As an example, I fed in across's English, and had it translated into French. I then had that French translated back into English. The result was as follows:

"I had 2 amazon certificates now of them and was not able to use any! I said that the the millions of obtained times nullepart its principally French responses renounced if with the site!"

As I say, it may help with getting a general understanding, but it is not to be relied on, and no-one should ever use such a site for business purposes, or even booking a holiday campsite.

And here is that last paragraph, machine translated into French and back into English:

"As I say, it can help with to obtain a comprehension of general, but it will not be counted on, and person never do not must use such a site for the goals of matters, or even to reserve a camping land of vacation. "

Stanley Unwin, come on down!! :D

I am quite happy to help out MSE-ers with bits of translation from time to time - free of charge.
