I'm 54 and retired, have no kids at home and have no pets. It seems that the only surveys I qualify for are alcohol-related!!

I wonder what it could be about my profile that disqualifies me from doing practically every survey? The fact that I'm 47 or a housewife maybe?? I'm always quick off the mark at attempting them, but can only complete a few questions before I'm told I don't qualify ...

    Any ideas anyone?

But fib and say what? I can't really change my age ... they might just cotton on! There are no options re. kids/animals, etc., so rather limited as to what changes I can make.

I don't qualify for many of T&V's surveys either, even though I'm in a different age bracket. Dunno why, maybe their surveys only need a very small number (and a very specific type) of participants?

Same with Valued Opinions. I've just accepted that with some companies I hardly ever get anywehere - thankfully there are others that like me more! :D

It looks like they pick from people who answer surveys to win various prizes - I don't know if it's a new thing or not - I've never noticed it before:

    http://uk.testandvote.com/winner.php

I shall be on there soon in one of my guises:D.

I've never seen that page either, although I was told about it
  • Prizes are generally mentioned in the survey email. eg:
Talking to us about drinks in this survey will give you the chance to win one of 2 PHILIPS - HD3600 to keep your beer fresh and ready to drink or the chance of winning a 32” Samsung LCD TV!

The prize draw will be drawn on the 30Th September and winners will be contacted by email.
  • Hi There

I recently reached 40,000 ppoints with test and vote and went to redeem my points for a £10 Amazon voucher. Of course it wasn't available so I emailed them. Here is the reply I received today:

    "Dear xxxxxxxxxxxxx,

Thank you for your email. The reason we have stopped giving out Amazon vouchers is that

we have had a lot of problems with them. We are currently working on finding a replacement

for these and we hope that the possibility for getting a better kind of voucher soon. I hope

those vouchers will be to your satsifaction.

    Best regards,

    David Sjölin"

The question I am bound to ask is what "problems" they have with Amazon vouchers? Do these vouchers misbehave - possibly turning cart-wheels? Are they anti-social vouchers? Or perhaps they are more sinister and sneak around at night letting down Mr Sjolin's tyres on his big BMW Fast Car?

I sent a similar complaint email when they changed the threshold a while ago - but that time I didn't receive a reply. Methinks test and vote really only want our details to sell on to others and there are no vouchers - naughty ones or not!
Maybe the "better" kind of voucher will clean up after itself.
