    Yup take that on board

    Don't worry- be happy- X

Juicy, if it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and quacks like a duck......

Methinks Bags12 is in the 'claim what you can even if you aren't entitled to it' brigade.

If you think she is trying to defraud the system then stick at it, it's coming out of all our taxes for goodness sake!

    lol thanks for that.

Gonna leave it now but time will tell and what goes around comes around. My energy is best used elsewhere, but am totally gobsmacked at the system.

Jes*s, am amazed how much reporting wrongdoing has caused eruptions.

Glad me and my kids were brought up differently.

Why do I want to leave this country?????????????????

Ive been interviewed by the DWP after my ex maliciously reported me for benefit fraud & the stress of it all made me very ill.

I wouldn't report anyone unless I was 100% sure that they had actually committed fraud & not just based on heresay.
I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done.

Fair enough and totally respect where you are coming from

Sorry if I upset you and agree with you- this is the first time I suspected anyone of anything and it was/is scary.

Learning curve. Have been on similar end of maliciousness with another large agency and it is not nice.

Juicy - you made a report, whether it was of a wrongdoing or not, you don't know for sure.

You say this person is not a friend, but you love her.......yet, rather than have a discussion with her to find out the facts as I'm sure she would confide in you if you were so close, you just jump off and make a report, that if they had taken it from you, could've caused her undue stress at a time where she may just not need any more piled on top. If you really want to help this girl and see that what she's doing all above board, why don't you get in touch with her, invite her over for a coffee while you go through what she is entitled to to help her out, and then also just happen to have the CSA forms for her. Get them all filled out, and you offer to put them in the mail, 'cos after all, you'd be popping down to the post office that day anyways right? It may just turn out that she's been putting on a show of happiness, trying to make it work, and that quite simply, it's not working for her and a decision has been made to separate. If it ends up being fraud - then at least you'll have her address then to make a proper report. Otherwise, if you really do love this kid - try being there for her - it just might be genuine, and she might just be in need of an understanding person to help her through.

But it's not your role to be 100% sure; you don't even have to be 100% sure of someone's guilt if you're on a jury.

If you have reasonable grounds for suspicion then it seems right to have the situation investigated.

This has got to be the best benefit fraud I have read on MSE :rotfl: the OP doesn't even know if the lady in question is actually claiming benefits, just what she read on Facebook and fish wifey's gossiping amongst themselves.

That was exactly my point but on phoning felt it was up to me to investigate, prove with evidence, then report. That is what blew me away- they were expecting me to do their job for them- surely a name and some substance for a legitimate report should be enough for them to investigate.

I keep saying this- no, of course there is more substantial evidence that I have- please do not keep saying this
