School bullies

Sorry to disagree, but a Grandad saying 'in my day we would have bopped him on the nose' is tantamount to incitement and Grandad should have been more aware that what he said might be taken as advice to proceed. He needs to get more street smarts than to go round to the bullies house and tackle him there. Take it forward 20 years and he is an adult and who is the bully? You do not go to someone's house and attack them in their front garden.0

The boys parents where a little calmer after school today, I think they now no that there little angel is not as angelic as they thought. Not sure if we have heard the last of it but Alex was like a new person todaymuch more confident and has his smile back at last.
Am really pleased he has found his confidence, thats really good news, bullies can be evil sods and wear their victims down.
Involving parents and teachers often makes the bullying worse stop sometimes it just takes what your son did to put a stop to events.
And similar to what happened to me, I was getting bullied and my granddad told me the next time it started to go for the ringleader and give him everything I had, He did say I might cop a beating but it was the only way.
Over the summer holidays I attended martial arts classes, got fit, and learn a few techniques from a relative who was a nurse at a secure mental health unit.
As expected the bullies started first day of term, and in a nutshell, I humiliated the ringleader in front of the entire school, and in the process I didn't have to throw one punch yet had him screaming like a 1st year girl.
The day after I swaggered into school and wasnt hassled ever again, funnily enough bully ringleader was my best man earlier this year.0 -
He won't get bullied again. Bullies can wreck childhoods.
Good on the lad.Pants0 -

Haven't you read sock-knitter's post. That is exactly what happens - it isn't right by any stretch of the imagination, but that is what happens. The press is full of people standing up for themselves and the outcome being disastrous for the original victim. You must be cleverer than that in order not to put yourself at risk.0 -
You haven't said what sort of bullying took place at school. What were they doing to him?0

Not 100% sure, I know there was lots of name calling and nasty rumours spread about him. He did get pushed around once or twice but not sure if there had been any other fights. Alex has said he picked the ring leader of the gang to prove a point as they where only being nasty in there little gang.
Another day at school has passed and he is still smiling and has no bother from the boy or his mates, so im hopeing it will all just blow over now. Fingers crossed as it would be a shame if he got in trouble for sticking up for himself.0
