Good points
1. The television looks great and IS wall mountable. However, you will need to buy the required brackets.

3. Works great as a PC monitor which is what I am using it for, but you need to change the aspect ratio as it doenst fill the entire screen. I'm sure this is obvious to some of you but it wasnt to me!
4. I found the colours quite vivid and very useful. I play strategy games such as command & comquer and the 'Age of ...' games and these looked great (as did medal of honour).

Bad Points
1. Games like Pro Evo soccer and the like REALLY suffer from fast paced scrolling action. This was interesting as Unreal Tournament and Call of Duty didnt suffer
2. DVD's look great (I watched Troy and it handled the entire Greek army attacking the entire Trojan army brilliantly) but again, seemed to have problems dealing with scrolling landscapes i.e. panning over the Ageon sea was slightly jerky.
3. Got some ghosting but it was infrequent and minor (unlike I saw in the shop).

Just remember, Finding Niemo is THE BEST film for showing off an LCD telly because the blue smooths lines and is very vivid so dont always rely on that as a demonstration.

Overall, it handles things adequately but I'm not entirely convinced that it worth paying £100 less when a £500 Acer telly seemed smoother in the shop.

Saying this, I am no longer concerned at what I originally saw in the shop (the ghosting and shaddow issues) and have some different issue now that it is at home so I just wonder whether you need to play around a lot to get the best out of these things?

I cant really reccommed one way or the other really as it's diffilcut to say, but for those of you that work a lot with a PC at home (or play games) its a fantastic monitor. Just dont expect fast scrolling games / DVD's to be completely smooth.

great post. can i ask you to post some screenshots of it with PC usage (please use a tripod or timed shot while camera is on a table or something). could you also please tell me how usable the monitor is for PC usage - distance to screen, readability, can you surf easily without eyestrain etc. Are you using DVI or VGA. Thanks

Woolworths has now currently sold out of this TV on their website as its showing Out Of Stock status. I placed a order online on Monday 9.30am and i'm still awaiting the security check details on my credit card yet delivery was showing Tuesday 2nd October 2007, yes you right the dates are all wrong!, and why such a large company take so long in authorising a card when smaller companies are instant is beyond me!, just hope that i got in on the order in time.

Have been doing some digging around on google and found out that Argos used to sell this model Thomson 32LB125B5 (which is the same as the one sold in wooolworths under the techosonic brand) for £999.99 dropping to £899.99 before the end of the summer catalogue.So To be honest a bargin ready with 60% off rrp I can not complain

Has anyone who ordered online over the weekend had the security check passed?Are we still classed as a legal order even though security check not cleared?

I am thinking about ordering one of these but I will also be using to play game consoles on, any one tried one of these with a PS2, xbox or Gamecube yet? I will also be putting sky on the TV aswell.

Hi Jacos,

I have passed my security check! I was sent an email saying that I will not get the TV until 25th Oct, even though the website shows the 5th Oct.
