Hi,
Well not good news .... booking cancelled & insurance not covered ... so that is £1500 down the drain ... I assume that ABTA will not help?
As to that insurance mentioned in the article, well I don't think that would help - as it seems to suggest that it doesn't cover bookings via agencies etc???

This is why I urge you to book with a protected agent they had no financial cover
They were not part of ABTA being an Irish company, please be carefull the cheapest option isnt always the safest or the best
You dont have anyone to turn to for refunds I wouldnt expect so, contact your banks to find out if they can help
You may be getting hotels 20/30/50 pounds cheaper but is this worth the risk?????????

Hi,
As I booked via the .com site & also called a UK number I didn't realise they were a Irish company!!
And it was about £300 cheaper!!!
I will contact my bank, but don't hold out much hope!!

Yeah I would try that Mark
When you are seeing a holiday/hotels hundreds cheaper you should question it

Hi,
What made it cheaper was that they were throwing in breakfast, whereas other companies were not!!
I know that the hotel had our reservation cause I checked ....
I will send you private email - see if you can find us a new hotel!!!

Well I spoke to the hotel - they have given us the same room incl breakfast for £1100 - it should have been about £1700 ....
So we have had to pay an extra £1100!!! Not what we wanted ... but decided as we wanted this holiday & had already booked the flights to go ahead & book - worry about the money later on!
We are not covered by insurance & didn't pay on cc (stupid - but don't actually have one!) - last hope is the bank - but that is a slim one!!

Ah its a real shame. But good of the hotel to reduce the price a little.
Hope you really enjoy the holiday, I know its easy to say as I havent lost money. But I hope you both/all can relax and have a restful time0 -
Sometimes its much cheaper to see what cafes are in the area available for breakfasts as this can be cheaper.... and nicer as well....:A'Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much'My Challenge has begun!!!0
