I know it's a bit naff dragging up old posts. But if the OP had spent less time doing competitions and more time sorting out their personal situation, maybe they would not be in this quandry.Been away for a while.0

Also funny how the OP has not reposted on this thread. Could it be anything to do with the fact that we aren't stamping our feet at the 'injustice' of her not being rehoused.
However, putting all that aside I really do hope you manage to find somewhere OP for you and your children to call home.

I too hope they find somewhere suitable to live long term.

Are we thinking of the same Redruth?
It'll never win awards, but it's not like, say, Lanner... which doesn't have much more than a pub and a bakery.0 -

Those Asylum Seekers you read about in the paper that get housed in very expensive houses I suspect are few and far between, which is exactly why they do end up in the press.

There were 80 families claiming the top whack of 104k a year rent - no breakdown of origins at all. Whilst who they are isn't as important as why on earth we pay that much to private landlords in London when you can rent a whole street for that much ooop north.0 -

It's obviously very limited and very poor ... but it's got a few shops and a small/dated cinema and some indoor market I keep meaning to go to.... and I think the BDSM club near the station closed and is a restaurant.

They had a BDSM club near the station??? Now I find out! :rotfl:
To be fair, on my fleeting visits home, I rarely get time to go into the town centre, so I haven't seen it for a year or three. My impressions of it are still clouded by my teenage years experiences of it. It is good to know it is improved- goodness knows, it needed it.0 -
Some people might be suspicious and think that the OP simply tried to engineer a move from surrey to cornwall, and it didnt quite work out as planned.
If there is/was a home in Surrey then thats where she needs to be.
If people are making threats then thats against the law and the Police need to deal with it.Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0 -

Methinks you may be right:

Hmmm...elemonentry my dear Watson..
I'm naturally cynical but usually correct.Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0
