Thankyou Buffy :) Today we both slept in until 8 which was a nice treat.

    Todays plan includes the following;
    • Lots of housework (place is a tip)
    • Clean guinea pigs
    • Baths
    • Visit Dad
    • Visit train station
    • Ds homework
    • Roast dinner
The housework needs a good going at today as I have the Jamie at Home party on friday and I'm not going to get much time this week; monday after school I will visit dad again, tuesday I'm having a cake making session as mum is doing a charity cakestall for Parkinsons on wednesday, and wednesday ds has a friend coming round for tea after school, which only leaves me thursday, and while I intend to do housework that night it would be easier if I can stay on top of it during the week.

The washing machine and dishwasher are both on already and there is only one more lot of washing to be done after that. The ironing pile isn't too bad but will ty and get it out the way today too.

Have a good day all :)

Its all going well so far, have tidied everything away, (still need to clean and hoover though), we've both had our baths, ds has done his homework, roast is almost done :D

My sister has been to see dad this morning and said he seemed much better today :) We are planning on getting there about 3ish I think and then we'll do the train station, leaving the guine pigs for later. Forgot to add my eyebrows to the list too, they desperately need sorting out again :o

We've had a lovely afternoon, we went to see dad and he seemed much more settled and relaxed today. He said he still isn't happy there but he didn't ask to go home at all and he was happy wandering around the gardens and talking to other people there. The staff also said he'd eaten his breakfast and lunch today which is good :):)

After that we went to the station and saw various trains and wrote down their numbers in the little notebook ;)

Home and had cold chicken sandwiches for tea, now just catching up on here before ironing and hoovering through. Tomorrow is another trip to the forest with school, and then theres only 9 more school days before half-term :j

So another pants day for dad again today :( My sister visited him this morning and called me to say he was very confused again, I went in after school and he was as bad as friday/saturday again. He had no idea what day it is, and once I'd told him that its monday he had no idea what day tomorrow would be :o

He had no idea what he'd eaten today, he asked me how Terry was, (Terry was an uncle of mine who left my aunt 32 years ago and no-one sees him anymore) ... and half the time he was just talking complete gibberish :o:o

Spoke to mum tonight and she's dreading him coming home on thursday, so I will be going round there on thursday evening to see how things are too, its so tough seeing him like it, but just as tough trying to support her too :(:(

Grr, anyway, other than that, today has been a nice day at work, another day out in the forest and the weather was lovely if a bit cold in the shade, but then it is the middle of October so to be expected really. After seeing dad I also had my two nephews round for an hour while my sister went to their parents evening, so am a bit tired again tonight. I need to do a tesco shop tonight online too really, tomorrow night ds has swimming and then we need to make cakes for a Parkinsons fundraising cake sale on wednesday. Roll on half-term

Was your dad as confused as this when he was at home with your mum?

Yes he is Dangers, but intermittently. At the moment its all the time :(
At home he has mum to rely on for so much, and I think that the mental effort to cope with somewhere different / people he doesn't know is just too much.

Evening all, dads the same again today, I haven't been in but my sister went and said he's no different today :o

After school we went to ds swimming lesson which went well, and then to tesco express (£10) and got a few bits, then home for tea and we've just finished making chocolate brownies for tomorrows charity cake sale. I made double the quantity so theres a few left for me and ds, and a few to take into work tomorrow :D
