If he cancelled the payment or didn't have the funds in the account then the CSA can't get at the money to give to you. At least it flagged on their system and they've chased him. If he doesn't make the transfer as he's said then ask if they'll sort out an attachment to earnings (whilst he's still got a job)

I asked them whether his direct debit was returned due to lack of funds or whther they have set up the direct debit wrongly but they didn't know  If I knew it was their mistake with the direct debit then there may be a chance of getting some money, but if its due to lack of funds then I'd know I'm not gonna see any this month at all ... I just want to know so I can get on with dealing with whatever it is ;) I know I've budgeted to assume I won't get any, but it would be nice to know for sure :o

Part of me can't help wondering whether the phonecall to say he's ill is true or whether he can't afford the petrol to get here

    HI there benben
I used to follow one of your earlier diaries, but got a bit side tracked. I am in awe of your mortgage paying off. I keep saying we should do this for our house in the uk, but oh says what;s the point when we are going to sell it.... sigh

So sorry to hear about the carp with your ex. That is so mean of him to do that. How can he not have known how much it would affect you. I guess he thought about getting caught 'it will never happen to me'......And what a stupid move to for a few hundred, to lose a job in a bank.

In other news, I am just about to go to bed, and I found this offer.

you have to download a voucher, to get entered into a draw, but I have no idea what forum to put it in, so maybe oh comping demon you could put it in the right place?

Or else just use it yourself lol
thanks a lot and I hope things get better soon

Hey Chev!, it wasn't just a few hundred that ex is alleged to have had ...
I will look into that comp and see if I can figure it out, I don't tend to do holiday ones as I have a flying phobia so they're not much use to me :p

We went for our afternoon out and it was lovely just not quite as planned; the museum which has always been free has now started charging £4 per adult and £2 per child, so as mum and dad were with us we decided to give it a miss (seriously it takes less than 10 minutes to see everything:eek:). We went to the ski ringos and ds loved it, it was £6.50 for half n hour but he really enjoyed it and was exhausted at the end of it ;) Then we went to watch the Red Arrows but they didn't arrive. According to the website theres some technical hitch and they should b here tomorrow instead. It was still a nice afternoon out though and altogether cost £6.50 so can't complain there :)

I called the csa back as I dind't like not knowing what was going on, and basically the direct debit was returned unpaid :(:( They said he's going to make a payment soon, but if I haven't heard by next friday then they will start the thing to get the money through his employer. They did say if that happens its unlikely I'll get any money until some time in October as it takes a while to process  I am so so mad yet again, it is soooo unfair that ds and I have to suffer yet again because of his incompetence

  • Oh I would be so tempted to write him a letter and send a copy to his mum...how on earth do they expect you to bring up DS on a part time wage!?? I know you can because you are super with money but they don't know that and it still holds you back from moving forward with your life and progressing...grr I feel for you...he is probably not having him this weekend as he can't face you with embarrassment (if he is capable of that).
