I LOVE the holidays in April. Can't wait, we started planning a street party for the Royal wedding on Friday too!
Lovley sunny day here at the moment, off to food shop then hopefully make the most of the last day of the holidays!0 -
I'm so excited now, just March to get through.0

I'm in work for 5 sessions during April (pre-school) as I only work there three mornings a week. Definitely not looking forward to that pay packet. Looking forward to some time off though.0

Not the day we had planned ... we went to Sainsburys (only spent £36 :j) and filled up with petrol (£41 ), then mum called to say dad had fallen over (4th time recently), but this time he'd hurt himself. We went round and the doctor came and he is badly bruised but otherwise okay, but as he is fairly rigid anyway and relies on mum to help him stand etc a lot of the time, he is now in pain every time he moves. I went to grandads and collected some special chair raiser blocks my nan used to have and her old zimmerframe so he can get in / out of the chair without hurting mums back too much (shes only 5ft and tiny). He was supposed to be going into the home for a week on wednesday but she's now cancelled that. She is so down
All in all its been a sad end to the week, we stayed there all day, just to help her when he wanted to get up etc, we're going round again after school tomorrow but I'm not sure how she'll manage getting him into / out of bed as she won't accept help

I'll echo Hypno's comments and send you huge, huge hugs (and to your mum of course). Why has she cancelled the respite care? It sounds like she really needs it - life ain't easy!0
