Thankyou all for your messages, we've had a lovely day, we went bowling and then for dinner, ds had a great time even though he was very very tired after his weekend away involving late nights  Mum paid for the bowling and we went halves on the dinner, so all in all a cheap day out for us today :T

Just about to put him to bed although it is sooo hot tonight I don't know if he'll get to sleep yet. I'm hoping for some time to look at the budget tonight if I can stay awake long enough :o

Morning all, I had an email today to say I've won some garden games from McCains, basically its a set of cones, a stopwatch, 4 x sacks (for a sack race) and 2 x howlers and a target :T :T If they'd kindly supply the garden to accompant them then that would be even better :rotfl::rotfl:

Still, its a nice positive start to the day and should hopefully encourage me to keep comping.

Todays plan; lazy morning indoors, ds can play with his new toys while I do some housework and some budgeting as it didn't happen last night. This afternoon we're off to a craft event at the library, then ds swimming lesson followed by a game of cricket at the park :D So hopefully a nice cheap day but quite a full one. I also need to post the letter today too.

  • Sounds like a lovely day BB. Hope you enjoy it.

We are off to town today (me, my mum and DS aged 5), as in our town centre they have about 40 large model lions all painted in a different themed way.

So we are going on "Lion hunt" then will grab some lunch and may go and watch the new shrek, which will be paid for with Nectar points, so hopefully not an expensive day either.

We have lions too, so going to get one of the maps and have a look for some:T
I really need to sort out a new signature!
  • We have one lion painted as a cow called "moosterious lion" that moves around town and you have to hunt him down using clues published on Facebook, went to look for him at the weekend but had no luck!

Don't know who is the bigger kid me or DS!! :D
